“Or, you could have just left me there to talk to her? Ever think of that?”

I was still beyond pissed that they ran away from a possible person related to me. We were driving down a main road looking for a hotel to stay at. I held on the back of Louis’ seat as he made a sharp right turn.

“What the hell Louis?”

“I found a hotel! I didn’t want to just pass it up!” He growled.

“Like you passed up my opportunity to_”

“Sarah, for the love of God, shut the hell up.” He hissed, cutting me off.

I sat back in my seat, not saying another word until we were parked. Louis was the first one out, slamming the door behind him. I was about to get out before Liam turned around and glared at me.

“Quit bitching. You wouldn’t have even gotten here if it wasn’t for us. You wouldn’t even have known you were fucking adopted if it wasn’t for him, so have a little sympathy. Girls aren’t the only ones that avoid their exes. You’re being a bitch. You need to cool it.” He spat before getting out of the car and following Louis into the hotel.

I sat in the car, holding back tears. I didn’t care if I was being a bitch. Louis didn’t have to ruin the closest chance I had for finding my mother. He could’ve told me who she was, then left. I would’ve been more than happy to walk over there by myself and ask her some questions.

I got out and opened the back. I grabbed my suitcase, throwing it on the ground. I huffed as I lifted it again, but it was short-lived. I felt the weight being released as I turned around and was faced with Louis. He gave me a short smile before grabbing his bag out of the trunk, then walking towards the hotel.

I sighed, before walking after him.

“Louis!” I yelled. He spun around on his heels, watching me gain on him. “I’m sorry.”

“There’s no reason for you to be.” He grimaced.

“I was a bitch… I just, I don’t understand why you were so against seeing her!”

“There was more to our break up okay? And I just don’t feel like seeing her.”

I knew better than to continue pressing the issue, so I dropped it. I moved past him into the hotel. I watched Liam hand over his card as I plopped down on the sofa. My bags hit the floor as I felt Louis sink in next to me. His hand landed on my thigh, and rested there. I smirked before throwing my legs up and resting them on his lap.

Instead of kicking them off like I expected, he started tracing patterns on my knees.

“Do you want to play the letter game?” He smiled, staring at my knees.

“Sure.”

He drew two loops on my knee. I sat there for a moment, mentally retracing his fingers, figuring out what letter he chose. It hit me and I jumped.

“Whoa there!” He laughed, pulling me back on him.

“The letter is ‘B’!” I shouted, giggling with him.

“Good job. Next?”

He started with his fingers again. Goosebumps followed his fingers wherever he touched, and I soon realized he wasn’t tracing letters, he was just touching me. When I looked away from his hands to his face, I saw the smirk on his face.

I threw my legs down in attempt to act mad at him. By the fit of laughter he broke into, I say my plan didn’t work out too well.

“Don’t shy away love. I like giving you goose bumps.” He whispered in my ear before Liam made his way over.
