I woke up as I felt the weight beside me shift off the bed. My eyes fluttered open to catch a glimpse of Liam pulling his boxers up. He turned to me suddenly, smiling.
“Morning babe.” He walked over and kissed my forehead. “How are you feeling?”
“Sore.” I told the truth.
“I’m sorry. Want me to go get some coffee? It’s still a bit early. Go back to sleep yeah? I’ll be back in a little bit.” He whispered as he unplugged his phone from the charger and grabbed the keys.
I began to drift back to sleep the moment I heard our door click shut.
Liam told me that he loved me. He said that he had loved me this whole time. I wanted to find something that would deny that, but he did. He knew how I felt about him. This was what I had been waiting for the whole time.
I woke up to the soft click of the door. I began to open my eyes again, but shot up as I heard her piercing voice.
“What the hell is she doing here? So you really were cheating on me? You sneaky bastard!”
I groaned and pulled Liam’s shirt tighter around my body and shut my eyes. I hid underneath the covers to save myself from the embarrassment.
“Danielle, stop it. You know I didn’t cheat on you. Sarah and I are just friends.”
That was it. That was what I could use to deny what he said. I lifted myself from the covers and glared at him. He took my virginity. I gave it to him. He told me he loved me and here he was, practically taking it all back. I pulled my shorts on, not caring that she was watching me. I didn’t bother changing my shirt. It was pointless. I grabbed a card key and left out the door, ignoring Liam’s calls after me.
I made it to the lobby without any interruption. I clicked my feet on the marble floor, as I saw the reporters outside. Liam said Danielle and him had to be seen in public. I assume these photographers were here to catch a couple photos of the glorious couple.
I quickly pulled out my phone and called the one number I could always depend on.
“Louis?” I heard his grunts on the other line.
“Sarah?”
“Hi. Were you asleep?”
“Yeah, but it’s okay. What do you need?”
“I was wondering if you could come get me? Bring me to the house?”
“Sure, but where’s Liam? I thought he took you home?”
“He did. I need you to come, though. He’s a bit busy.”
“Alright. Give me a few minutes. I’ll be up there in a few.”
I sighed and hung up. I looked around before deciding to walk outside, which was obviously the wrong route. The minute I walked out, the cameras began flashing and the constant yapping for my attention gave me a headache.
“Sarah McFarmsee? Did you help Liam cheat?”
“Are you two dating?”
“I heard you two were friends but he was a jerk?”
“Is Liam Payne really the sweet heart everyone makes him out to be?”
“What kind of lover is he?”
“Why are you breaking the hearts of millions of teens?”
“Don’t you have any feelings?”
I crowded my face with my hands as I pushed through them. My eyes were blinded behind tears. I walked quickly away from the reporters who were shouting things at me until I was out of sight. I turned into an alley next to the hotel and sunk to the ground.
