Change of Heart

Chapter 14

In this chapter it is a day after stump day which would be Star's birthday party.

Today is my 13th birthday which means all my family and friends will be here later. Right now I'm in my closet trying to find a dress. I looked through all my dresses but then I remembered about the new red dress I bought.

I grabbed the red dress and a pair of red flats. I looked in my mirror but somehow I felt like I should do something with my hair. I got it! I ran into my bathroom and turned on my curling iron. "This is going to be an amazing birthday!" I said into my mirror.

Tom P.O.V
Today is Star's birthday party and I got a present for her which I think she would love. I'm all dressed up and ready to go the only problem is my parents, they take forever to get dressed.

I felt my phone vibrate and I checked who it was. A smile grew on my face once I saw the name.

"Hey Tom one quick question. When are you coming?" Star asked me.

"Right now. Why?"

"Just checking, gotta go bye!" Star hanged up.

When I saw done talking with Star both of my parents came out finally dressed. "Tom are you ready to leave?" my father asked me. "I been ready for almost half an hour."

My dad rolled his eyes and grabbed my mom's hand and we all walked out of the castle.

Star P.O.V
I'm freaking out because Ponyhead and Kelly aren't here yet. And my party starts in ten minutes. "Call PonyHead." I told my mirror.

"Star what's wrong?" I heard my best friends voice. "Pony, where are you I need your help ASAP!" I told her. "Star I will be there in five minutes." Pony said and hanged up.

I heard my bedroom door open and I saw Pony come in. "What's wrong?" Pony asked me. "I feel like I'm missing something." I told my best friend. Pony looked me up and down. "Maybe a necklace." Pony said. I ran towards my box full of jewelry and pulled out a simple necklace with a red heart on it.

I put the necklace around my neck and looked at myself in my mirror. I turned around and faced Pony. "Pony you're a genius! Now let's go."

Both me and Pony walked to the ballroom and I saw all of my family, Pony's family, Kelly and Tad and of course Tom and his family.

A huge smile grew on my face. I saw Tom walking towards me but he was pushed aside by my family members. All of them gave me a huge and tight hug. Once all of my family members gave me a hug Tom started to walked towards me again but was pushed aside by Pony's family and Kelly and Tad.

I walked towards Tom and he gave me a hug. "Happy birthday Star! And you look beautiful as always." Tom told me and I let out a small smile. "Thanks Tom."

"Star why did you call me earlier today?" Tom asked me. "Oh because I wanted to look nice for you." I told him. Tom grabbed both of my hands and smiled at me.

"You will always look beautiful no matter what you wear. You could be wearing the most weirdest and craziest thing and you will still look amazing." Tom gave me a small kiss on my forehead and I felt my cheeks heat up.

"Hey I have to go and find my parents see you in a bit." I told Tom. "Okay Star."

Tom P.O.V
I saw Star walk away from me and I walked out of the ballroom and I was headed towards Star's bedroom.

I walked up the stairs and finally after five minutes I walked into Star's room. I snapped my fingers and my present for my girlfriend appeared in my hands. I placed the present on top of her bed.

Star P.O.V
I was looking every where for Tom but I couldn't find him. I walked up to Pony and Kelly. "Have you seen Tom anywhere? I can't find him." I told my best friends. "I'm pretty sure your boyfriend is in the restroom." Pony said. "Or maybe with his parents." Kelly said.

"Yeah you guys are probably right. So anyways how are you guys enjoying the party?" I asked them. "Star your parties are always fun!" Kelly told me. "Thanks." I smiled at her.

I was surprised when I felt two hands covering my eyes. "Guess who." someone said. "Umm ... is it my dad?" I asked. "No."

"Is it my mom?" I asked. "No. You know who I am." the person said. A smile grew on my face. "Is it my boyfriend Tom?" I said.

"Correct!" Tom said and wrapped his arms around my waist and placed his head on my right shoulder.

"Where were you?" I asked him. "Restroom." Tom gave me a simple answer.

"I told you Star." Pony said.

"So are you having fun?" I asked Tom. "Now I am." Tom kissed my cheek.

"Son." I heard Tom's dad behind us. Tom let me go and the both of us looked at his dad. "Son, me and your mother are going home. Are you staying?" Tom's dad asked him.

"I'm staying. See you later dad." Tom told his father and his father nodded and looked at me.

"Happy birthday Star. Have a nice night." Tom's dad said and I gave him a small smile. "Thank you sir. And your son is in great hands." I told Tom's dad and he gave me a small nodded.
