Change of Heart

Chapter 15

When my birthday party was over the only person that was left, besides my parents, was Tom. Both me and Tom were walking upstairs to my bedroom. Before we entered my bedroom Tom stopped me. "Hey Star can you close your eyes?" Tom asked me. "Why?" I asked him. "Because it's a surprise."

I closed my eyes and Tom grabbed my hand and I heard my bedroom door open. "Can I open my eyes now?" I asked. "Okay and now." I opened my eyes only to see a box on my bed. I ran up to my bed and grabbed the box. It had a note saying, Happy Birthday to the most beautiful girl in my life. I turned around to face Tom, "What's this?" I asked him. "Open it. I know you will love it." Tom said and I opened it only to feel my heart skip a beat.

"Tom this is amazing! I love it! I love it! I love it!" I gave Tom a big and tight hug. "I knew you would like it." Tom said and smiled. Tom grabbed the present he gave me and put it on top of my head.

"Star, I want you to promise me something," Tom took both of my hands and looked right into my eyes. "Promise me that you will never take these horns off. I want you to know that I will always love you and also that our friendship and relationship is the most beautiful and most important thing in my life. I want these horns to remind you that no matter what happens between us I will always love you."

"I promise Tom. No matter what happens I will never take these horns off." I told him.

I had an amazing idea I ran into my closet and got out my camera. "Let's take a picture so we would always remember this day." I told Tom and he agreed.

"Look at them!" Tom told me and handed the photos to me. The first photo was me and Tom holding hands and looking at each other looking so happy. And the second one was me with a big smile on my face while Tom gave me a kiss on the cheek.

"Which one do you want? The first one or the second one?" I asked Tom. "The second one." Tom said.

Tom P.O.V
I grabbed Star's hand and we walked out to her balcony. "Tonight is so beautiful. Just like you." I told her. "It is beautiful tonight." Star replied.

I saw how Star was so distracted looking up at the stars but I was distracted by my Star.

I grabbed both of her hands and she gave me a confused yet cute look. "Tom?" she asked me. "Star you are the best thing that has ever come into my life." I told her the truth. "You're welcome." Star said.

Tonight. Tonight is the night that I, Thomas Lucitor, will officially kiss my girlfriend.

"Star."

"Yeah Tom?" For the love of Mewni I love it when she says my name.

I was slowly leaning in and once my lips touched her's I slowly moved mine since I know she has never been kissed before. But the only downside of it all was that she didn't kiss me back.

I pulled away and looked at her. Her big blue eyes were wide open and it kinda scared me.

"Star I'm so sorry. It's just that I got caught up in the moment. Please forgive me." I told her.

Star P.O.V
I saw Tom leaning towards me and so many questions were running into my mind that once I felt Tom's lips on mine I didn't know how to process it.

Once he pulled away I wasn't paying any attention at what he was saying because I was still processing what happened.

Star, do something.

I walked up to Tom and wrapped my arms around his neck. "Hey, it's okay. It's just that it was so unexpected that I couldn't process what was happening." I told him. Tom was about to say something, but instead I put my index finger on his lips and without even saying a word to him he knew that he shouldn't say a word.

I looked at his eyes and then at his lips. Come on Star, you can do this it's just one little kiss. I told myself. I placed my lips on his and I could feel butterflies in my stomach.

I felt his arms wrap around me and he pulled my closer to him. Yes! I thought to myself. Tom pulled away but we stayed in the same position.

"I love you." Tom told me. At those three words I felt my heart beating faster and I felt my cheeks heat up. "Your hearts are turning red-ish." Tom told me.

I quickly hid my face by placing it on his chest. "You're cute when you get embarrassed." I could feel my cheeks heat up even more.

I lifted up my head only to see a smiling Tom looking at me. I closed my eyes and reopened them only to be facing Tom.

"I love you too." I told my boyfriend. A smile grew on his face and out of nowhere he lifted me up in the air and spun me around. Once I was back on the ground he gave me a small kiss and I kissed him back.

Once we pulled away we both looked at each other once again. "I love you." both me and Tom said at the same time.

Now I can officially say that tonight was a magical night.
