Change of Heart

Chapter 8

It's been three days since the bounce lounge incident and Star hasn't called or texted me. She hasn't even come by the castle at all. There's a lot of different reasons why Star couldn't have called me. She has princess lesson, she can be with her best friends, she could be at a fancy dinner party with her family at a other kingdom.

And right now all I'm thinking about is her. Star is consuming my mind and this has never happened. A girl has never consumed my mind as much as Star. It's hard for me to even think.

Right now I'm eating dinner with my family and all I'm doing is picking my food. "Son why haven't you eaten anything?" my dad asked me. "I'm not that hungry." I answered him. "You haven't eaten anything for three whole days. That's not very normal. What is happening?" my dad asked me.

I got up and walked away I heard him shouting my name but I didn't care. I walked to my bedroom and laid down on my bed. Should I call her? I got up from my bed and walked towards my mirror. "Call Star."

I stood there waiting for Star to answer but she never did. "Call Star." I told my mirror. No answer. "Call Star." I said once again.

"Hi Tom!" I heard her voice. "Sorry I didn't answer before I was busy with my mom. So what's up?" she said.

"I was just wondering why you didn't call me these pass few days." I said. Star's face went from happy town to sad town in a blink of an eye. "Oh I been busy with princess lesson and I been hanging out with Pony Head." Star said. "Oh okay. So umm do you want to go out today?" I asked her.

"Actually I can't I'm going to be busy today." Star said but before I could say anything I heard a voice in the background.

"Star! Hurry up! You know we have to be there before six." A blonde haired guy showed up next to her. "Who is this? I thought your friend said you weren't in a relationship." The blonde guy pointed at me.

"He's Tom and we aren't in a relationship. We're just friends." Star told the blonde guy and she turned to face me. "Tom we can hang out on Friday. I'm going to be busy on Thursday. Bye Tom." Star said and she hanged up.

Star P.O.V

I just hanged up my mirror and looked at Jim. To be honest I would rather spend my day with Tom, but I promised Pony I will go on this double date with her. The things I do for my bestie.

Both me and Jim went downstairs to find Pony and her date. "So Pony were are we going?" I asked her. "Is that even a question." Pony said.

All four of us walked into the bounce lounge. I'm sooo tired of coming here. All four of us sat down at a table, while Pony and her date were having fun me and Jim weren't having any fun.

I pulled out my mirror phone and texted Tom.

Star: Hey Tom! Are you at home?
I got a reply within 1 minute.

Tom: Yeah.

I didn't text him back after that. "Hey Pony I'm going to the restroom." I told Pony and she nodded her head.

I got up and instead of going to the restroom I left. And now I'm on my way to Tom's place.

I walked into the castle and was headed to Tom's room but before I entered his room I lowered the volume of my phone.

I opened Tom's door and there he was sitting in front of the television playing video games. "Hey Tom!" I walked up to him and gave him a hug but he didn't hug me back.

"What are you doing here? Shouldn't you be with your boyfriend?" Tom said coldly. "The blonde guy isn't my boyfriend he was my double date which I ditched at the bounce lounge. Pony made me go out with him." I explained to Tom. "So you ditched him to be with me? Because if that's the case then I'm happy." Tom said and opened his arms. I gave him another hug and this time he hugged me back.

"So what do you want to do today?" he asked me. "Well I really don't feel like going anywhere, so how about we just hang out here." I said and Tom smiled at me. Tom went back to playing his video game. While I started to walk towards his bed and once I was there I took off my boots and started to jump on his bed.

"Look Tom I'm a bunny!" Tom turned around and saw me jumping on his bed. Tom got up from his beanbag chair and took off his shoes and jumped with me.

We were both having so much fun jumping up and down that I decided to do something else. I placed my hand on his chest and yelled, "You're it!" I got off the bed and ran around his room.

He was chasing me and I decided to grab a pillow and throw it at his face. "Ouch!" I heard him say and I turned around only to find Tom laying on the floor. I ran up to him and kneeled down beside him. "Are you okay?" I asked him. Instead of answering me he tapped my nose and quickly got up and ran. "You're it Star." I sat there with my mouth wide open.

Instead of running after him I grabbed the pillow laying on the floor and chased him. Once I was close to him I started to hit him with the pillow. Soon enough I was getting hit with a pillow.

Tom P.O.V

Both me and Star were hitting each other with my pillows when all of a sudden Star stopped hitting me and dropped her pillow. "Tom I'm hungry."

I dropped the pillow I was holding and walked up to her. "Okay well let's go to the kitchen and see the chef."

Me and Star walked off to the kitchen and I saw a chef. "Ah prince Thomas, what would you like?" I looked over at Star and she quickly said, "Cake!" The chef nodded and started to do the cake.

"Tom you're an amazing friend!" Star hugged me and I hugged her back.
