78 - Falling in Each Other's Arms

He rested his hand on her left arm as she held her legs, letting her know he was still there. He closed his eyes again, not saying anything.

"Sorry," she said again, letting go of her legs, hugging Benny instead. She buried her head in his chest and lightly shook with unfallen tears.

Benny's smile returned as she hugged him. He returned the hug, wrapping his arms around her. He placed his hands just under her shirt on her lower back. He knew that now was not the time for anything other than a kiss but just the feeling of her warm body made him relax a little more.

She held onto him more tightly as she shook more. After a bit, she calmed down and apologized again, "Sorry."

He felt her shiver this time. "Baby, it's okay, I'm right here, I've got you." He gripped her slightly tighter showing her that he was there for her and that he wasn't leaving this time.

Slowly, she calmed. "Sorry." She held onto him tightly.

Benny wanted to ignore all of her apologies as she seemed to feel more upset when she apologized so he initially felt that bringing it up would make it worse. But eventually he spoke about it. "Nina there is no need to apologize, I'm here to help you."

"Sorry," she apologized, "Sorry," she said again, "Shit." She paused for a couple of seconds questioning her existence, then broke the eerie silence by saying, "Is this just my thing now? I mean, 'Sorry, sorry, shit?'"

"Probably, but it doesn't seem like you. You're not usually one to curse, especially at yourself. It's odd."

"You'd be surprised."

"How much did you curse while away. I've honestly only heard you curse once until you came home, and that was when your dad tried to fire me that first time. What happened to the innocent little Nina I knew when I was 23."

"A lot, and I haven't been innocent for a while, Benny."

"Why, was it really that fucking shit out there! How far into the year did my innocent baby girl not be so innocent anymore?" He kissed her gently, he only held it for a few seconds then pulled away, letting her answer.

"About five years ago. Freshman year of High School, and all of the girls in my grade were sex-obsessed and were about to or already had lost their virginity, that's when."

"Oh god! That's really early to lose your virginity. Don't tell me you lost yours? You're still a virgin, right?"

"No- Yes! Yes, I'm still a virgin! Too many questions! If I haven't asked to get in your pants yet do you think I've lost my virginity to someone else?" She giggled a little.

"Okay, phew, that kinda scared me for a second. And I see your point princessa." He lightly kissed her again. He was glad he wore loose shorts today, that hid the boner he had. He didn't want Nina to see, scared that it may put unwanted pressure on her that he didn't what her to have, he promised that he wouldn't pressurize her, and he was going to keep that promise.

Nina kissed back once then pulled back.

Benny smiled, things were looking up for them. "Te amo Nina."

"Te amo." She noticed that he seemed to be fidgeting. "Do you need to go to the bathroom?" she asked, confused as to why a fully-grown man wouldn't just go of his own accord.

"I'm good" Benny nodded smiling at her.

"Then why are you squirming?"

"I am?" Benny said as if he didn't know he was squirming. But he sure as hell knew exactly why. He just didn't want to pressure Nina. That was the worst thing he could do right now.
