The rest of the day went by smoothly, I walked to my classes with Ashton and Luke had only said one or two mean things to me.

It hurt, what he said, how does he know? Deep down I know I am good enough but it's really hard to believe. When a really cute guy like Luke says you're ugly, your hope is gone. I just wish we could've gotten off to a better start.

I tried really hard to picture Luke being all sweet and romantic, the thought was very hard to see. Very, very hard.

It was near the end of the day and Ashton has walked me to my second to last class: Earth Science.

"Haze?"

I turn to look at him. What kind of nickname was that?

"Haze?" I repeat him, confused to why he felt the need to give me some kind of nick name.

"Sorry, Hazel," he corrects himself, "I have a question."

I smile and nod for him to continue.

This may sound weird but Ashton is literally the only friend I have right now with me, when I walk into this class, I'll have Liam but as of right now, I have Ashton. He's really cute and is so easy to talk to. I just couldn't put my finger on why he would associate with someone as cruel as Luke.

"I have this little get-together tonight at my place. It's just something I do every year at the beginning of school. Since you and your sister are new, I was wondering if you'd both like to come?"

I thought about it for a bit. This could be an easier way to make new friends and hopefully find a group of people that aren't as cruel as Luke.

"I would love to. I'm sure Taylor won't mind but I'll have to ask her."

He smiles widely.

"Great, one thing though," he starts and I hope he wasn't going to say what I thought he might, "Luke is going to be there."

I roll my eyes and start to open my mouth to say something but was cut off by Ashton.

"I know, I know. He's a complete ass and sometimes I wonder why I hang around with him but he has the ability of being a nice person. Just don't let him ruin it for you. You could hang with me and my other friends and if he gives you shit, just leave. Okay?"

It was confusing, Ashton seemed too nice to want to hang out with Luke but he is rather fond of their relationship. Who am I to say a nice guy can be friends with an asshole or not?

"What the hell? Fine, we'll come but I cannot promise I will behave myself."

"Didn't plan on you to." He smiles before walking away, leaving me in front of my class.

I open the door to find someone I really wish didn't exist.

"Look! The fat cow in her natural habitat!" Luke shouted, causing a few laughs and glances from the rest of the class.

I smile but choose not to say anything. I wasn't going to let him get to me. He feeds off of my reaction and if I don't give him one, hopefully he'll leave me alone.

I sit down at the front of the class, trying to stay as far away as possible.

"Awe, how cute! You think sitting all the way up there will stop me. But little do you know," I hear him stand up and walk over to me. "I will stop at nothing."

He leans down and whispers, "You're mine to torture now. Enjoy it."

Red is all I see and pain is all I feel. I turn around really fast to face him, only to hear the sounds of skin hitting skin.
