"That's not possible, he would never." I say to Luke who is clearly out of his mind. He had no idea who he was talking about.

"Hazel, my dad works there, I saw it myself." He say, no this couldn't be happening.

He wouldn't dare do something like this, this is not like him at all.

"Luke-"

"Hazel, it happened. I swear upon whatever Gods are up there. I wouldn't lie to you!" He says, getting frustrated that I don't believe him.

"But you know who we're talking about! Liam couldn't hurt a fucking fly!" I shout, more upset with Liam than anything right now. I knew I shouldn't be taking it out on Luke but he was the only thing in front of me in the crowded hallway on Monday.

"You need to tell Taylor, she needs to know." He says and grabs my hand as we walk down the hallway together.

That's exactly what I didn't want to do: tell Taylor that the love of her life cheated on her.

--

I go home, throwing all of my belonging on the floor and rush to my bedroom with Luke. I purposely didn't want to ride home with Taylor, I've been avoiding her all day.

I couldn't just tell her what happened with Liam, Luke may be out of his mind. Liam is a sweetheart, I couldn't believe he would ever cheat on Taylor.

I always remembered the Liam that would do anything to be with Taylor. They've been dating even before my father died, he and my father being awefully close.

Always saying how much he loved her when he got the chance, every single fucking day. 'I love you Taylor' is heard throughout the house at least 10 times a day. I sometimes wondered how she could stand being told how much he loves her almost 24/7.

I close my bedroom door behind us, rushing to talk to Luke before Taylor got back.

"So tell me exactly what happened, again." I say and flop on the bed. He sits next to me and gives an awkward smile.

"Well, I walked into the college to see my dad." He says, mentioning his dad only twice since we've met. I knew that Luke's mother was gone but he hasn't mentioned his dad.

"And, well," He pauses and scratches the back of his neck.

"Luke! Hurry!" I say, trying to rush his awkwardness before Taylor came home. I wanted a fresh memory of how Luke saw the whole thing before I went and told Taylor the terrible news.

"It's hard! I've never had to tell anyone something like this!" He says and I roll my eyes, getting impatient that he wasn't finishing.

"Anyways, I walk past a room and saw Liam. I went to walk in the room but saw that he was, well," He looks at me, "occupied. His hands and mouth occupied with another body."

I sigh, it hurt even worse the second time hearing it. I felt like I was the one that was about to break up with Liam when I knew that Taylor was going to take the news even harder than I did.

"No." I say and lay back, letting my head hit my mattress in a forceful way.

I hear the door open and Taylor shouts, "Hazel!"

I sit up, my nerves kicking in as I hear her walk up the steps.

Luke leans in and gives me a quick kiss on the lips.

"I'll see you tomorrow."

"Bye." I say and he walks out of my room.

"Hazel is in there." He says to Taylor. I was momentarily mad at him for giving my location away but then it disappears as I realized that I couldn't avoid this even if I wanted to.
