Type #2: The Grammar Nazis (They've figured out technology... 🙀)

These people are the descendants of teachers from the late 19th and early 20th century.

Always correcting our grammar.

Now these users act as if it is their civil duty to correct our grammar and as if they are paid to do so.

And both the author and their fellow readers, be sitting there like "Aca-cuse me? Did I ask for a human auto-correct? Are you under the influence of Siri or do you actually think we need to know that out of this whole chapter all you got was a few grammar mistakes?"

And when these people are confronted it is done by half of the readers basically saying "SHUT THE F*** UP AND ENJOY THE FREAKING BOOK!" while the other half be sitting there and acting all rational like "Please respect the author's wishes, and do not correct the spelling errors. She clearly said that she is in need of an editor and until she finds one, please be patient and enjoy the rest of the book. If it irks you then ask to assist with editing as a temporary editor."

And you know what? After the rational people say this the author can add a simple "thank you" in the next author's note saying the exact same thing and no one's feeling get hurt.

But I will admit that some of these grammar nazis are deliberately trying to troll you, while others aren't, so I'm gonna break them down into three groups.

Group #1: The actual editors

This is a very small and rare group. They actually were asked or approved by the author to correct these mistakes. These people however will be mentioned to being official editors in an author's note, message board post, or the author's profile description.

Group #2: Those who do it to help

These people only do it solely out of good intentions and do it cause they are not aware of the author's plea not to do so or the author encourages corrections.

I personally feel bad for them for getting bombed for being naïve to such circumstances.

They are sort if neutral grammar nazis and actually do it like once every five chapters.

Group #3: The Trolls

These people do it just to annoy the author and readers.

This my friends is a good example of the word "spam". Yes all you offenders of last chapter take notes so you can perform Step 5 on that list.

These people will repeatedly comment the same correction and what annoys everyone is when these nazis turn on each other and start a mini Grammar Nazi Civil War.

That right there is a battle no one wants to step in the crossfire of... God forbid it's a word like "to" or "their" cause they're gonna spend days arguing about the proper term.

Flaws: It's grammar. On the internet. On a website where only a handful of author's get published.
Why spend all the time correcting grammar?
Who cares?
In the words of Sweet Brown "Ain't nobody got time for that!"

Diagnostic: Ask for author's consent and stop being trolls. If you want to troll someone on WattPad by correcting grammar go to One Direction fanfics. You'll find more ammo over there.

Know someone like this?

Feel free to link them to this chapter!

Bye y'all need to go do chores *shudders*
