Type 45: Authors who set goals for updates.
These are the authors who are like
If I get X amount of votes and X amount of reads I will update. And that can be good...
Unless it ends on a cliff hanger and instead of waiting a few days it turns into a few weeks.
Then it's a pain in the áss.
Let's be honest.
We've all encountered them.
And they are amazing writers too.
But like the goals.
They piss some people off.
I know this from personal experiences with readers of these authors.
And they get a lot of hate for it.
FLAWS:
It may take freaking forever.
Okay and some readers are going to get bored.
DIAGNOSTIC:
Either set these goals low or suffer the reader plummet when they take too long to complete.
Hell be warned.
If you kill off a character, skip too much time at once, or do a plot twist the people don't like, you could have almost 100K followers and lose 20-50K at one update.
This is a dangerous way to get votes and reads up.
•••
Apart of 11 Days of updates.
Where I update 11 days in a row.
