Panic.

Chaos.

Darkness.

Fire.

Swallowing void.

Blinding light.

Voices.

"SOLUS!"

The darkness spoke.

"LUNA!"

As did the light.

"What's going on? Why is this happening!?"

Yelled the darkness, beautiful silver eyes filled with worry.

"I-I don't know! I was making my way around and then....then....ugh..."

The light clutched his head. It felt like it was going to split.

"S-solus? Solus dear are you alright?"

Muttered the night, holding her counterpart close. 

"For now...I think....It's still a bit hazed upstairs....But I'll be fine, sis. Don't worry."

A warm smile; the same one that always calmed her heart.

"That's good...But....The important details...Solus....What happened here?"

Instantly, the light's face darkened. 

"Take an educated guess."

"Him..."

"Exactly. If I'm right, and I am, the destruction caused here was meant for us. We were supposed to join in it."

"But that would mean-"

"Yes. They're trying to destroy the balance."

Her eyes widened. 

"B-but....That's insane! I know she's far from right in the head, but that....! She couldn't....She wouldn't! What you speak of would spell-"

"Extinction? What has she been plotting for so long? For all these years? You know she'll do anything for her twisted delusions. To break him. You know I'm right. You know she would go this far to get what she wants."

"This is madness.....She's gone too far...She's-"

"A monster."

"Something I know already brother."

She took a deep breath.

"We have to stop her. We can't let her do this. Enough of our brothers and sisters have died.....Died by HER hand, in HER insanity! We can't stand for this..."

Her brilliant pale eyes shined.

"And we won't."

The light merely smiled.

"I was hoping you'd say that. Are you thinking what I am?"

She chuckled.

"Oh brother..."

They peered down below. Far below.

"When have I even not been?"
