Y/N's P.O.V

"We have a VIP coming in soon I want all of you to act like he is any normal person and give him the best care you can" I heard the chief of surgery say.

"I need Karev, Stevens, and Y/L/N with me today" our resident said.

Following her down the hallways into the restricted "VIP" area of the hospital. Opening the door I looked up and saw Shawn Mendes sitting in the bed. Wow.

I wasn't suppose to freak out I had to act like he was a normal person. I mean he is a normal person he's just worldly famous.

"Hello Mr. Mendes, I am Dr. Hunt and i'll be the lead surgeon on your case today! These are my residents Dr. Karev, Dr. Stevens, and Dr. Y/L/N"

Dr. Karev started talking and telling Shawn what we would be doing for him in surgery. He had to get his appendix removed.

(ps i know this already happened but let's just go with it 😂)

"If you have any questions Shawn, Dr. Y/L,N is here to answer them!" Dr. Hunt said while leaving with Karev and Stevens.

"So! How long is the recovery time?" he asked me.

"Depends but usually about a week!" I smiled.

"okay! So in a week, do you want to go out with me?" he asked.

I was a little shocked, did Shawn Mendes just ask me out?

"Uh yeah sure"

"you sound unsure!" he laughed

Holding his stomach he groaned.

"Are you okay?"

"yeah i'm fine!" he gave me a small smile.

"anyways! You never gave me an answer!"

"right! I'll go out with you, I'm just a little shocked that you asked me out is all" I smiled.

"okay! and you shouldn't be shocked your beautiful!"

I smiled and told him i'd be back in a few minutes to prep him for surgery. Walking out of the room I went to find Dr. Hunt.

"Dr. Hunt, Is Shawn on any pain medication right now?" I asked.

"yeah he is, he's going into surgery soon though so make sure he is prepped and ready to go!"

"okay!" I said.

Walking back into Shawn's room I got everything ready for him to go to surgery.

"Dr. Y/L/N will you be there after surgery?" Shawn asked.

"yeah I will" I smiled.

"okay!"

I watched as he got rolled away and into the elevator. Now all I had to do was wait.

Shawn's P.O.V

Getting rolled into the O.R I could feel my nerves start to sky rocket. God damn I was freaking out.

Lying on the bed I could see the gas mask coming over my face and then I could feel the i.v lightly prick my arm and my eyes start to flutter shut.

"Who's Brain Surgeon?" London asked.

"It says Brain Surgeon, and even though this is that makes me nervous, why don't you be a house wife." Ms. Tutweiller said.

Waking up I could hear a few monitors beeping around me. Slowly opening my eyes so they could adjust to the light I looked around and saw Dr. Y/L/N sitting in a chair beside me.

"Dr. Y/L/N?" I asked.

"oh good! your awake!" she smiled.

"yeah! can I have some water?"

"yeah for sure!" she said getting up and walking out of the room.

Coming back she had a small glass in her hand and gave it to me. Taking a sip I set it down and thanked her.

"So i'm assuming your in here because you think I was joking when I asked you before to go on a date with me?" he asked.

"well that's part of the reason i'm in here!" she smiled.

"well I wasn't joking! I really do want to take you out!"

"alright! We will plan something then!"

"okay awesome! by the way I never caught your name?"

"oh right! I'm Y/N!"

"nice to meet you Y/N!"

"it's nice to meet you to Shawn!"
