Hiding out

Walking down the school hallways with Shawn we were here after hours. This wasn't even our school but grad was coming up and we had to pull a prank on our rival school.

Heading down the hallway with the one thing this school treasured most. A stupid statue of their precious mascot. Peaking around one of the corners I saw a few students talking down the hallway. From what I could hear they were talking about the fact that someone was in the school.

Looking back at Shawn I grabbed his hand and pulled him with me quickly running past the hallway. Running down another hallway we had hit a dead end looking around panicking because I could hear the voices coming closer I looked towards a door that said closet. Pulling Shawn with me I opened the door and shut it behind us.

"You thought we were in close quarters before" he said to me.

I couldn't see him because it was pitch black in here but I could tell he was smirking. That's what I get for going on a prank mission with the cocky hockey player of our school. Rolling my eyes I just laughed quietly. 

"I don't mind being close to you" I said.

He wrapped his arms around me and rested his head on top of mine.

"I swear I saw them come this way!"

I heard from outside the door.

"well whatever we will just wait for them at the main entrance"

Hearing the footsteps getting quieter I sighed.

"That's the only way out" I said.

"crap. we can't get caught do you know how much trouble i'll be in if we get caught? My parents won't let me go to the game on friday and my team needs me"

"well then what are we going to do?"

"Stay here all night?" Shawn said.

"your not serious?"

"I am. I'm not risking getting caught, well just stay here for the night and in the morning we'll get out of here and just blend in with the rest of the students and leave the school"

That wasn't a bad idea.

"okay fine"

Slipping out of Shawn's grip I felt the wall to try and find a light switch. Finally finding one I turned it on and looked around.

"it's pretty squishy in here. How are we going to sleep?" I said.

"maybe we won't sleep, we could just pull an all nighter"

"okay"

Sitting down on the floor I scooted over so Shawn could sit next to me. He got the message and sat next to me.

"So this is nice" he said sarcastically.

"Yeah"

"so Y/N tell me about your self? I don't really know much about you, except that your new here and I can't seem to figure you out"

"Your trying to figure me out?" I asked.

"uh well I mean just never mind" he said.

"no it's okay!" I laughed.

"Okay fine yeah I was trying to figure you out because I think your pretty cute."

"well I think your pretty cute to"

"thanks" he beamed.

"Your welcome"

"so Y/N what made you come to our school in the first place?" he asked.

"Well my dad has a job that makes us move around a lot which sucks because I can't really make friends because i'm scared were just going to pick up and move again once I get comfortable."

"that makes sense, but your 18 can't you stay like with someone if you like where your at?"

"yeah but i've never really been close enough with someone to stay with them for a school year"

"oh, well hopefully you'll be able to finish this school year. I'd miss you if you moved."

"thanks I think" I laughed.

•Morning•

Hearing the school bell ring I quickly stood up.

"Shawn!" I yelled.

"what" he got up startled. 

"We have to leave now. It's now or never. Do you have the stupid statue"

"got it" he said jumping up.

Opening the door I saw a million kids in the hallway slipping out of the room we walked with all the other kids. Making it to the front of the school we walked out and went to start our journey back to our school.

"So just saying I didn't hate hanging out back there. Wanna hangout again?" Shawn said.

"yeah why not!" I smiled.

He grabbed my hand as we continued walking.
