*Michael's Side of the Event*

Michael rushes to the bed and takes her face in his hands.

"Paige! You're awake! You're awake," he exclaims while he looks at her.

Something's wrong.

She isn't looking him in the eyes and she can't take his hand.

"Paige, what's wrong? Tell me what's wrong!" He yells frantically trying to figure out what's going on.

The machines start beeping louder and he can see her heart rate slowing down on the screen.

Paige is unresponsive and now gasping for air.

"No! No, Paige you have to stay with me here! Come on, Paige!"

Michael gets up and presses the emergency button and runs into the hall, "We need a doctor! We need help! She can't breathe! She can't breathe!"

Lockhart and nurses run around the corner and into the room.

Lockhart asks, "She's awake?!"

He goes up to Paige and Michael runs to the other side.

Lockhart sees her and yells at one of the nurses, "Cindy get some propofol!"

Michael demands, "What's wrong with her? Is she going to be okay? She can't breathe!"

Lockhart explains, "The brain activity is causing the swelling to block blood flow and in turn slows down her heart rate and keeps her from breathing. We need to get her unconscious."

Cindy runs back in with the medicine and Lockhart injects it into Paige.

Michael tries to grab her hand or get her attention, but she can't do anything except stare at the same place the entire time.

He cries to her, "Paige, you have to stay with me! You can do it. I love you!"

He checks with Lockhart, "Can she breathe? She can't breathe! She needs to breathe!"

Lockhart comes over to Michael trying to calm him down.

Michael watches Paige go unconscious as he cries, "Paige, I love you. I'm here for you. I'm here, I'm here!"

Lockhart grabs him and says, "Michael, she's fine now. She's in a medically induced coma. She can breathe now, she's fine."

Michael continues to look at her, "Are you sure? How do you know she's going to be okay?!"

Lockhart asks, "Do you here anymore beeping? No, because it's okay. She can breathe. The propofol made her unconscious to stop the brain activity. She's fine now, Michael."

Michael stares at Paige as he breaks down and cries with his head down on the bed.
