"It's your heart, it's a life, it's pumpin' blood." - Jane Doze Remix

I never thought life would be this good ever since Luke walked out of my life. But it could.

Even though my heart still ached from his departure, life was better off with Jesse than without.

Christmas and New Years rolled by and I was never this happy. I learned quite a few interesting things about Jesse. He was a really good cook and he surprised me and Paula by bringing in lasagna on Christmas day.

The day after New Years, Jesse took me to Miami for a vacation. A place we talked about for weeks and hoping to visit one day.

And since Paula was really glad to see me so happy with Jesse already, she let me go. I couldn't have been more grateful than this.

We drove to the hotel to drop off our suitcases. I was a little nervous sharing the bed with him because I was afraid he would attempt to make love with me again.

But when I asked him about it, he said, "I'm not going to push you into something you don't want, Sasha. So if that's not what you want, we won't do it."

I hugged him thank you and with that, we left the hotel and headed for the beach.

It looked mesmerizing. The blue-green water and people tanning, swimming or boating or making sand castles.

"So," Jesse began, rubbing his hands together. "Where do you wanna go first?"

"Hmm, since you've been a really sweet boyfriend lately, I'm going to let you choose." I grinned widely, hooking an arm around his biceps.

"Seriously? So, you wouldn't mind if I threw you into the water?" He joked.

"You wouldn't do that." I askanced my eyes at him.

"Oh, yeah?" He immediately got my body in his arms and started running.

"What are you doing? Let me go!" I screeched.

Of course, since I told him he had a choice, he only threw me over his shoulder.

My face held upside down against his back. I was so glad I didn't have to wear the leg cast anymore, but my leg still hurt at times. There was a big bruise that was slowly fading away from the spot Robert hit me.

"Jesse, let me go!"

"You said it was my choice!" He yelled back, laughing.

I saw him taking off his shoes, and he took my own sandals off as well.

"If you're going to throw me into the water, I swear I'm going to kill you!"

I noticed him stepping onto sand, which only meant that I was out of his arms any second. He treaded and his feet disappeared into the ocean.

"Jesse, please," I grumbled.

Unfortunately, he was wearing shorts and a muscle shirt and I was wearing black leggings and a pink tank top; not a great choice for swimming.

"I'm not even wearing my bathing suit!" I complained, slapping his back.

"That's exactly why I'm throwing you in!" Before I knew it, my back hit the surface of the water.

The water covered my body as I deepened before it rose back up. I smeared away the dripping water from my face and looked up to a very happy Jesse.

He knew what was coming next, so he backed up a few steps and started running back to shore.

"Jesse!" I took huge steps out of the water and began unceasing once I got out.
