Chapter 143

Niall

I've never thought that giving interviews could be so stressful and boring at the same time. We basically spent the day with answering the same questions over and over again and I am still kind of mad that none of the interviewers tried to be creative and original for once.

David was late this morning which was good for me then I wasn't being close to good to go at 8 am sharp. When I sprinted down the stairs and met the other boys in the living-room, I was about of breath and nervous I would get scolded by David. I first didn't even realise that he wasn't even there. It was Louis who told me to breathe and relax and that I was still on time. Thank God.

It was half nine when we heard a car pulling up the driveway and the car was going fast, very fast. I wondered what kind of an explanation David had for being too late.

"Let's go." Liam said and got up from the couch, grabbing his small bag on his way out. I was kind of confused why he had packed a bag. It was only a press day and we would be back home by evening, hopefully. I didn't ask him but just shook my head in disbelief. I didn't bring anything. Not even my phone which I left in my room on purpose this time as a weak attempt to not get distracted by anything Kelsey related. I also promised myself to not mention her all day, hoping Harry would notice that I tried to work on being a part of One Direction again. Now I can say that he didn't and we still haven't talked about what happened earlier today.

We all made our way out of the house when David was just about come in to get us.

"Don't say anything. I know I'm late. My alarm clock didn't get off." He snorted, obviously knowing that at least one of would call him up on not being on time, maybe not at that second but some time in the future for sure.

"Now let's go." He clapped with his hands and turned around, hurrying back to the car.

"It's actually quite funny.. I mean imagine how he would have reacted if it was us showing up to late." Louis giggled and I nodded in agreement, knowing what he meant with what he said. We would have been DEAD.

Preston was sitting behind the steering wheel and greeted us with a friendly "Hello" and telling us to "buckle-up so we can make it in time". It took me quite some time to process everything because it all happened in a rush. The next second we were already on the street going 70 miles per hour, on our way into the city.

"I'm getting sick." Louis whined.

"No wonder. It's like we're on a roller coaster." I rolled my eyes in annoyance. The only thing I kept thinking was if we would make it to the interviews, ALIVE. Which we did, thankfully.

When we entered a room in a tall building somewhere in London, everything was already prepared. There was a huge couch, cameras, a few people to make us look presentable, food and drinks. I looked around and spotted a few familiar faces.

"My babies." Caroline, the woman that helped us with outfits during X-Factor days walked towards us, a big smile plastered across her face.

"You remember Caroline, right? Oh and there's Louise Teasdale. I figured it's for the best to have them on the team." David winked at us.

"Yes we remember them." I answered for all of us and took Caroline into a hug. I missed her. She was always so nice and put up with everything we did. I'm pretty sure she more than once wanted to smack us when we complained about our outfits over and over again.

"It's so good to see you." I told her and pulled her closer to me.

"It's good to see you my favourite Irish person. How have things been?" She asked me and I could swear that I heard Harry snorting in the background. So he was still annoyed. What a great day to have press.
