Chapter 170
Niall POV
After what feels like hours and hours of dancing and more dancing, I feel completely exhausted and ready to die. My legs and arms are sore and I'm pretty confident that I won't be able to even get out of bed tomorrow. I have never thought that rehearsing for a rather small tour across the UK would be that tiring and stressful. When I look at the other boys, I realise that I'm not the only one who is almost close to quitting. Savan, our coach looks pleased. "You guys have improved your dancing skills. And I'm not joking. I would have never thought I'd actually be able to say that. Well done lads. Now it's time to go home." He claps with his hands and exits the room. "See you tomorrow." Tomorrow? No please not again. I can't do this one more day. "He is killing us. That evil man." I hear Harry groaning from behind.
"Don't look at me like that. It's not my fault you're out of shape." David shakes his head and starts laughing. No, I'm not out of shape. I never was in shape in the first place.
"Can we please go home, David? I just want to go home." Zayn looks even more tired than this morning. When I greeted him in the kitchen, I knew that he got less sleep than me, which I thought was impossible considering that I went to bed at four in the morning. Yes I did manage to write a few words down, so Kelsey would get her note from me.
"Good thing that there's nothing on the agenda for the rest of the day so yes Zayn, I'm going to bring you home now."
"Thank you." Zayn, Liam and Louis jump off the floor, grab their towels and rush out of the room, leaving Niall, David, Preston and me behind.
"I still need to get a few things from the supermarket. Would you drive me there or am I allowed to go on my own and take the bus?" I know what comes next. I am definitely not allowed to leave the house without security or David.
"Let's drop off the others first because I can't handle a moody Zayn. Then we can go and get your things." David says, giving me a thumbs up.
"I'm coming with you. Even though I'm tired, a little supermarket experience would be nice. I can't remember the last time I went to Tesco." Harry smiles, already in thoughts. Now that I think of it, I can't remember either. It's been a long time, a very long time.
"Okay then it's all settled. Let's go." David grabs his small bag and so do Harry and I. Preston is leading the way outside, where we find the other boys by the gate, chatting with .. fans? Crazy, there's a few girls who came by to say hi to us. At the rehearsal studio. I wonder how they even found out that we were practicing for the tour and how they knew where. They must have followed our cars. In that case, they must have been waiting for hours for us to come out. Dedication, that's what I call it.
"You wanna join the others and say hi to your girls?" David asks and Harry and I nod.
"Yes, won't take long. Promised." I quickly throw my green backpack in the car, and follow Harry down the driveway to the gate. Since last night, I do feel a bit more comfortable around fans. Those girls were so nice.
This time, it's about 20 fans on the other side, and I spot a few familiar faces from the X-Factor days. It's nice to see that they still wanna know what we're up to. "Hey." I quickly wave before Louis gives me a nudge with his elbow. "Look. Beth gave me a drawing. It's the five of us, on stage. Thank you so much, Beth." I take the drawing out of Louis' hands and look at his. Damn, that girl can draw. "Wow, it's amazing. Can we keep it?" We could put it on the wall in our living-room, I think.
"Of course, Niall. Would you mind taking a picture with me?" The girl gives me the most genuine smile ever. "Of course. Give me your phone." It's easier when I take the picture of us.
