Hey, so this is to anyone who doesn't read my oneshots book-if you like Analogical and/or ghosts, you should check out my new book! It's called Haunted High School and so far I think it's really cool. So yeah, read that if you'd like to, and now I hope you enjoy this chapter! ^•^
Virgil woke that morning to the sound of soft voices. Opening his eyes slowly he could see that he was still laying against Patton, who appeared to still be asleep. Seeing as Roman and Logan seemed to be the only ones up and talking, Virgil decided he didn't want to sit up just yet. He would wait until Patton was awake; after all, Patton was warm and Virgil wasn't looking forward to having to stop cuddling. Although, he would never admit to that aloud.
Virgil sighed contently, shifting his head slightly on his chest to look up at Patton's face. He looked very peaceful in his sleep. Virgil couldn't help but admit it-he was adorable. He thought this way not only when he was sleeping, but when he was awake as well. Patton was the happiest and kindest person he had ever known, and he would be lying if he said he didn't admire him at least a little bit. He might even say that if he wasn't with Roman he would probably want to be with Patton. Not really though, he told himself. He was just kidding.
So then why did it feel like more than that? Could he really... like him? No, of course not, Virgil rolled his eyes at himself. That was a stupid idea. Wasn't it?
Before he would really continue to wonder why his mind had led him to think of Patton in that way he felt the other stir. Virgil quickly closed his eyes, pretending to be asleep just as Patton opened his. He did his best to not give away that he was awake, staying as still as possible.
Patton smiled, lifting a hand to run it gently through his friend's hair, brushing it away from his face carefully. Virgil felt his face grow warm, trying not to focus on why and instead worrying that Patton would notice and realize he had been awake the whole time.
"Virge," Patton spoke softly, still carding his fingers through his purple locks. "Hey, time to get up."
Virgil sighed in relief, slowly blinking his eyes open. He looked up at Patton again, seeing the smile he directed at him and feeling his cheeks flush even more. He sat up quickly, shifting away from Patton and mumbling an apology.
"What are you apologizing for? You haven't done anything wrong." Patton frowned, and Virgil glanced away and shrugged.
"I guess I meant.. sorry for falling asleep on you. I'm sure you'd have been a lot happier sleeping with Logan like that," he joked. He could have sworn he saw Patton's cheeks turn a pale shade of pink, but he ignored it.
"I didn't mind at all, Virgil! Roman was a little jealous though," he joked, gaining the attention of said dramatic teen, as well as Logan's.
"Oh no, don't worry about it," Roman huffed, throwing an arm over Logan's shoulder. "I was just fine cuddling Logan here all night."
Logan shook his head, grabbing Roman's arm and removing it from his shoulders. He glared at Roman jokingly. "No one here is ever going to speak of that again, understood?"
"Oh come on, admit it. You wish you could have me without Virgil in the way! Well sorry Logan, but he is the only one for me!" Roman stood up, moving over to Virgil and lifting him up in his arms.
"Oh come on-it's too early for this, Roman," he groaned, pushing against his chest to get him to set him down.
"Well, if there is one thing I won't miss this next week it would certainly have to be your ridiculous theatrics." Logan sighed, shaking his head at Roman. Roman stuck his tongue out at him.
"Come on, Microsoft Nerd, you know you'll be missing me only minutes after I've left!" Roman insisted, and Logan didn't make any attempt to argue. It was useless, of course. Roman was going to believe whatever he wanted to.
