Warnings: horror movie scene description including murder

"So, where do you plan on taking me?" Logan asked as he followed along beside Roman. "You haven't said much."

"Not anywhere too grand," Roman said.

"How shocking," Logan commented, smiling softly as Roman nudged their shoulders together, playfully pushing him. He ignored the pleasant warmth that gathered in his chest at the playful contact. He couldn't feel that way with Roman.

"I was thinking the two of us could go to a café, get some good coffee, and then maybe pick up a puzzle to put together? Just hang out over at my place, unless you have any other ideas." Roman suggested, glancing over at Logan to gauge his reaction. Logan nodded, smiling over at Roman.

"Sounds nice."

Soon enough the two arrived at the small coffee shop, one they had been to before with their group. Logan had been on dates with Patton here before, but he tried not to think about dates while he was here with Roman. The reminder that this wasn't a date, couldn't be a date, made the warmth in Logan's chest vanish, sending a shiver up his spine and an ache in his heart. He sat down across from Roman at a booth after they had gotten their drinks, hands folded on the table. He glanced at his red tally, frowning briefly before turning his attention to Roman.

"I don't remember the last time we spent time together without the other two." Logan said, watching Roman closely as he sipped at his drink. A few strands of hair fell briefly in front of his eyes before Roman quickly tucked them back into place, his need for everything to look perfect showing itself. He truly did look perfect, the sun coming in through the window they sat next to making his eyes shine brightly, hair perfectly in place to show off his sun kissed cheeks, dotted with a small amount of freckles.

"It's certainly been a while," Roman said as he set his drink back on the table in front of him, catching Logan staring fondly. Logan's cheeks flushed a dark red as Roman smiled softly his way. "I love getting to spend time with you."

"A-as do I," Logan said, sitting up in the booth and taking a sip from his own cup to ignore the fond gaze Roman gave him.

"Good. If you and Patton keep stealing my boyfriend away for dates then you'll be stuck with me one-on-one for a bit!"

"I'm so happy to get to spend time with you, Virge!" Patton grinned happily, hand linked with Virgil's as they walked towards his house. The pair had decided on a more relaxed date, just the two of them over at Patton's place.

"I'm excited too," Virgil said softly, smile on his lips and a blush on his cheeks. "Are you sure you want to try watching horror movies with me, though?"

"Positive!" Patton nodded enthusiastically, squeezing Virgil's hand. "I know you like them. Plus... it gives me an excuse to cuddle up to you."

Patton giggled softly, his own cheeks a pale red now as Virgil grinned.

"I'll be there to keep you safe, then." He promised quietly, cheeks darkening. He shook his head with a soft laugh. "You three have completely ruined my entire tough guy reputation."

"Oh please, Virgil," Patton laughed, moving to press a kiss to Virgil's cheek as they made it close to his house and farther away from the school. "There's nothing wrong with showing your soft side, too."

"Only for you guys," Virgil sighed. The pair walked in a calm silence the last few short minutes to Patton's home, Virgil following behind as Patton led him inside and up to his room.

"I figured we could watch them in here, that way we can both lay in bed together! And we can close the blinds and turn the lights off for better spookiness." Patton wiggled his fingers in the air as he said 'spookiness,' giggling as Virgil grinned at him.
