Just a warning, at the end they talk a lot about past events of this book so like, sorry if that's annoying cause you've already read it? But it's also kinda nice to go over again I think lol, this books been going on a while so idk just sorry if you think it's annoying lol
Also like I said this book still has a bit left to go, it really might be up to 50 chapters so don't worry!! I'm not gonna be updating the last chapter this week or anything lol
Also also sorry this is late???? I meant to update forever ago but I got distracted and now it's 5AM so yeah whoops"What would you like to talk about first?" Logan asked Roman, who frowned.
"I... I don't know." His gaze flitted over to Virgil again, a question coming to mind that made his heart pick up speed and his hand tighten around Virgil's. "I guess, uh... d-do you still, s-still..."
Virgil's hand squeezed Roman's back, and he nodded. "Yeah. I love you, Roman."
Roman flashed a small, nervous smile, mumbling back nervously. "That's good... I love you too."
"But," Virgil spoke, and Roman tensed up again as he waited for something bad. "I still love Logan and Patton... and I still want to be with them."
Roman saw the three of them glance at each other, and his grip on Virgil's hand loosened a little. "Right. Okay." He mumbled. "I just... I just want you to be happy, Virgil."
Virgil looked back to him, noticing how his face fell and his hand nearly letting go. He frowned, opening his mouth and pausing. "That doesn't mean I don't want to be with you, too. Unless... unless that makes you uncomfortable."
"What?" Roman asked, looking up at him suddenly. "No, no! I just-I thought you meant that... Virgil, I do want to be with you. It's just that this... is new. And I don't really get it. But like I said, I want you to be happy, so..."
"It's new to all of us, too. You're not alone in all of this confusion. But thanks..." Virgil leaned forward to pull Roman into a hug, holding him close. "If... if you ever change your mind, just... just talk to me. To us. We're all still here for you, no matter what."
Patton and Logan both agreed quickly, and Roman shot a small smile over to them. "Thanks," he whispered. He held onto Virgil tightly, the four of them sitting in silence for a long while. Eventually Roman pulled back to look at Virgil.
"So... this does mean you're my boyfriend again, right?" He asked hesitantly, chewing on his lip. Virgil nodded his head and smiled, and Roman smiled back. "Does that mean I get to kiss you again..?"
"Yeah, I guess it does." Virgil laughed quietly, looking up at Roman expectantly. Right after getting the words out Roman had his lips on Virgil's, pulling him closer in his arms. They were both smiling into it, almost feeling like they had the first time they had kissed after finding out their tallies were black. Roman pulled away only to press small kisses to Virgil's cheeks, muttering about how much he had missed him and how happy he was to have him back.
Patton turned to look at Logan as Roman kissed Virgil, leaning up to kiss his cheek. Logan looked over at him, wrapping his arms around him as Patton smiled up at him. "He's finally back."
"He is," Logan nodded, both of them unable to keep the grins from their lips. Not only was their friend back but him and Virgil were together again-and Virgil still chose them too!
At some point Virgil went to sit on the couch with Patton and Logan. Roman stayed in his seat, unsure if he should go too but Virgil gestured beside of him for Roman to go sit. Roman smiled, moving to sit beside of his boyfriend and leaving a little space between them. Virgil rolled his eyes at him, wrapping an arm around his shoulder and pulling him closer, Roman laughing a little and leaning into his boyfriend.
