BEING LATE

Jeonghan invited you to their practice room to meet the members. It was planned that you would go there at 4:00 pm, since your work shift ends at 3:00 pm. You were working as a waitress. Today, you got extra work from your boss which worried you. You were worried that you might be late in visiting them. Jeonghan isn't someone who can be patient for a long time and you knew that.

~남자친구: Where are you?~ Jeonghan messaged you. Unfortunately, you weren't able to reply because you were too busy with your work. An hour had passed and you finally finished. You were ready to leave when you received a message from him again. ~남자친구: It's been an hour, they left already. I'll see you at home.~

You walked out of your workplace and walked directly to your shared house. As expected, Jeonghan was already there. He was sitting on the couch with his arms crossed, adding to it is his annoyed face. You placed your bag on the table before you spoke, "Jeonghan, I'm sorr-." However you were cut off, "Where were you? Why were you late? Wait, why didn't you come at all?"

He said with his head down. "My boss gave me extra work and I had to do it. I was aware of the time, but I had to work. I'm sorry." You tried to explain, but he wasn't convinced. "Why would he give you extra work? That's unfair on your part, I even waited an hour for you. I just told the others that you can just visit next time. I didn't want them to wait."

"I said I'm sorry. It didn't happen on purpose, don't be angry about it." You said as you sat on the other couch, near the couch where he sat. This time, he spoke with annoyance, "Do you know how long I waited for you? I expected a lot when you would visit, but it didn't happen. I was worried that the others might be disappointed, I don't get why your boss had to give you extra work."

His words made you glare at him, "And you're not worried about me? You're just worried about your friends, but not the fact that I had to do more work than I already did. Why can't you just understand, Jeonghan? This doesn't happen all the time. In fact, this is the first time it happened. I already said sorry, tell me if you're not annoyed anymore."

You stood up, about to go to the bedroom when he pulled you into a hug. "I'm sorry, Jagiya." He paused and sighed. "Of course, I was also worried about you. I just wanted them to meet you, I was worried that they might hate you for not coming. Please forgive me, I'll understand. I love you so much." He kissed your forehead and you gave a smile.

You hugged him back, "It's okay, I also understand that you work so hard and you don't get enough free time. Should I visit tomorrow? My shift ends early tomorrow and I heard, you don't have anything much to do. Will that be okay?" You asked and he nodded with a smile. "Thanks, Y/N." It's always better to understand each other.
