BEING WITH SOMEONE ELSE

*flashback*
You saw him, Xu Minghao. You had these weird feelings for him and you don't know why it hurts. Is it because you love him? Everytime you look at him, you can't seem to stop. You knew it was wrong to like him, but the feelings won't go away. "Y/N! I'll miss you." He shouted, before you left to study in Korea.

*present*
You were going back to China for a family reunion and you were excited to see him again. "Hi, Y/N. How are you?" Your aunt asked with a smile. "I am doing great, don't worry." She led you to the venue and it was full of people. You had a lot of relatives and you didn't even know some of them. You were amazed by the surroundings that you forgot about Minghao.

You sat down on an empty bench, while leaning at the side. It has been years, since you saw him. You were still kids back then; but now, you're young adults. You were so into your thoughts that you didn't notice, you weren't the only one sitting at that bench anymore. 2 people had sat at the other end of the bench. A guy and a girl? Are they in a relationship?

What you noticed was that, the boy had his arm around the girl and his other hand was holding hers. They looked so cute, until you saw their faces. Can it be? "M-minghao?" You asked in a very nervous tone. The guy turned to look at you, surprised. It was him. "Huh? Y/N, you came! I really missed you!" He let go of the girl and went to hug you, but you slapped his hands away.

When you looked at the girl, you were shocked. "Y-yuna? What?!" You were so confused right now. Yuna was your cousin and the fact that she was with Minghao was completely wrong. "Why? Is anything wrong?" She asked, but you didn't answer. You just stared at both of them in disbelief. "Don't talk to me, please." You said, before walking away. "Wait!" You heard his voice.

You went outside and just stared at the beautiful view. How could he? After years of hard work, this is what I get? Tears were starting to form in your eyes, but you forced to stop them. "Hey, let's talk." I hate that voice right now. "No, go away." To your surprise, he grabbed your arm and made you face him. You gave him a glare, "What do you want?"

He sighed, "Why are you angry all of a sudden? We finally saw each other and this is your reaction?" He was confused at you. He must not know. "It's really nothing. Go back to Yuna." You were angry and jealous at this point. He paused for a while, "Are you jealous?" Minghao smirked at the thought. "It's not time to joke around, I'm serious." You scoffed.

"If that's the case, I'm also serious. Tell me, why are you being like this?" He tried to hold your hands, but you didn't let him. "Why were you being so sweet to Yuna? You were like a couple." "I asked a question, Y/N. That's not an answer!" This is the Minghao I know, the cold one. "Answer mine if you want an answer back." "Is that your concern? I like her and I don't care what others say."

You froze, your tears fell, your heart broke. "Well, Y/N. Answer my question." "You want to know why? It's because I love you, Minghao. It hurts to see you with her. All these years, I've worked hard and wished that you would be the same. I guess not anymore." "Y-you love me? Why didn't you tell me. Y/N, I also love you all these years." Is he stupid? You glared at him, tears filled your eyes.

"How can you say that you love me, when you just said that you liked Yuna? Stop lying to me. If you love me, you wouldn't do this to me. If you love me, you wouldn't just give up and find someone else." Then, you slapped him. He held his cheek and looked at you. "Please, Y/N. I'm really sorry. Believe me, I love you so much. It was painful, when you left for Korea. I regret my decisions of forgetting you. Please, take me back."

"Minghao, you idiot." You sighed, before continuing. "How can I take you back, when we never dated? Stop saying you love me, when you don't mean it. You don't have to regret anything, you won't need me anymore. Yuna is there for you, and besides all that..." You looked at him one last time, "...you are just my childhood friend." Then, you left him.

That's why, it was wrong to like him. Yes, they like each other and I can't interfere with their relationship. "Y/N? Why are you crying?" You heard a familiar voice. You looked up to see, Wen Junhui. He was a family friend and you two were close friends. Instead of replying, you buried your face on his chest and cried your heart out. He slowly embraced you in a hug.

Jun was stroking your hair softly and whispering sweet words. "Is it because of Minghao?" He asked and you nodded. "Aishh, that guy really doesn't know how to give such a beautiful girl like you a happy life. I could do so much better." He mumbled, but you heard it clearly. You looked up at him and smiled. "You could? I'm not really convinced, Jun." "Oh, I'll prove it, starting now." He pecked you on the lips, just in time when Minghao saw it.
