PROM

Prom was nearly approaching. You and your best friend, Mingyu, still didn't have a prom date. You wanted him to just ask you to prom so you don't have to wait for someone else. You actually like him but you thought he wouldn't like you back since you were friends.

While you were waiting for Mingyu, someone ran up to you. It was your ultimate crush, Eunwoo. "Hey Y/N. Who are you waiting for?" He asked.

You couldn't believe he was actually talking to you. "Oh, umm... I'm just w-waiting for Mingyu." You were so nervous. "Do you have a prom date already?" He rubbed the back of his neck. "Actually, no. I don't have one yet." I'm so embarrassed.

To avoid him seeing your red face, you put your head down. Eunwoo held your chin up with his finger and made you look at him. "Don't worry. I actually want to ask you to be my date. Is it okay?" Your eyes widened.

Is Cha Eunwoo really asking me to be his prom date? Is this real? How? What? When? "Of course, I would love to." Mingyu was on his way to you but before he could do anything, Eunwoo hugged you. You hugged back and you can't believe your crush asked you out.

He smiled and left. On the other hand, Mingyu was disappointed. Disappointed that his best friend had a prom date already and it wasn't him. Disappointed that he wasn't able to ask his crush. Yes, Mingyu really likes you but you didn't know.

"So, Eunwoo asked you to be his date?" He asked with sadness in his face. "Yes. Can you believe it? He actually asked me out. I'm so happy," You were jumping in joy while he was just looking at you.

"And you said yes?" He raised an eyebrow and you just nodded. "How about you? Have you asked anyone already?" Worried that he might not join prom. He sighed and shook his head. "Let's just go."

Time skip and it was already prom day. You haven't heard anything about Mingyu's date and you were worried if he might not be going.

You wore an elegant blue green dress that reached up to your feet and it was an off-shoulder one. You paired it with black heels, which was not so high, and you curled your hair a bit. Your makeup was on point. You were gorgeous.

The doorbell rang so you went to get it. Opening the door, you saw Eunwoo dressed in a black tuxedo with his hair pushed back a little. He was so handsome and perfect. Any girl would want to date him.

"Let's go?" He placed his hands on your shoulders and guided you to his car. He even opened the door for you. The ride was silent and peaceful. After a few minutes, you arrived at the venue.

He opened the door for you and held your hand. A lot of people were already inside so you two also went it. You waited for Mingyu since prom hasn't started yet.

"You're waiting for Mingyu, aren't you?" Eunwoo asked while handing you a drink. You nodded and looked around again. He still didn't show up so you just stopped looking for him.

"Ladies and gentlemen. Welcome to the 2017-2018 JS Prom!" The program was now starting so you let your mind off Mingyu.

"And now for the most awaited part of this event. Please be with your partner and gather at the center." Eunwoo smiled at you and held your hand. You smiled back and walked with him to the center. Mingyu was off your mind....
until you saw him.

He was with someone who had a nice dress and nice hair. She was beautiful and she was lucky to have Mingyu as a date. He saw you but didn't smile and so you were sad, too.

Wanting to make this day memorable, you focused on Eunwoo. The song started and both of you danced together. Even though you were dancing with your ultimate crush, you still felt a little jealous of the girl.

Why do I hate seeing them together? Do I actually love Mingyu? Why am I even jealous? Thoughts appeared on your head. Going back to reality, you smiled at Eunwoo.

The dance was over so you went back to your tables and just enjoyed the party. You were sitting down on your table with Eunwoo and just simply talked with each other.

While talking, you noticed Mingyu and the girl again. Mingyu was already staring at you so you looked back at Eunwoo. Time to time, you would glance at them.

The girl would try to talk to Mingyu and wrap her arms around his. She would put her head on his shoulder and all that stuff. He would just let her do whatever she wants to do. It didn't really bother you even though you were already jealous.

Suddenly the girl placed her head near his face and kissed him on the cheek. Mingyu didn't care and just smiled at her. That brought you to your point.

You were now more than jealous. If that's what you want to show everyone, Kim Mingyu, then I'm showing everyone the same thing,

You wanted to make him jealous even though you thought he doesn't like you that way. Eunwoo continued to talk to you and you would smile at him. He would caress your cheek and laugh. All those actions made you blush.

He held your hand and kissed the back of it. You glanced at Mingyu and you saw him looking at both of you. He doesn't seem too happy. That's what you get.

To your surprise, Eunwoo suddenly kissed you. on. the. lips. Mingyu stood up and left. Why'd he leave? Is he angry at me? Even though you liked the kiss, you pushed Eunwoo away.

"I'm sorry." You said before leaving. You felt really bad for him. Yes, he was your ultimate crush but you love Mingyu and you can't live without him. You don't want him to be angry at you

Following his tracks, you found him at the back of the venue. He was crying and punching the wall. "Why? Why him? Why him, Y/N? What's in him that I don't have? What do I need to do for you to love me?" Mingyu spoke weakly.

You can't believe it. All this time, he actually loves you. You were just too blind to realize it. That's why he wasn't too happy about Eunwoo.

"Mingyu...I'm sorry." You said quietly. You walked slowly to him and and made him face you. He avoided eye contact as much as possible. You wiped his tears but he moved your hands away.

"You don't have to. It was clear already. You like Eunwoo and he likes you back. He even kissed you. Go back inside and stay with him." He now looked at you with seriousness.

You sighed, "I know he kissed me but I pushed him away because I realized that I love you. I love you more than him and I can't see you this way." Now, it was your turn to tear up.

Before you could say anything else, Mingyu kissed you. He kissed you passionately like he always wanted to. You kissed back and wrapped your arms around his shoulders.

"I love you so much, Y/N." "I love you too." Both of you hugged and stayed that way. "Do you know how jealous I was when Eunwoo was so close to you?" You chuckled. "Well, that's what you get for making me jealous too."

"I'm sorry." Both of you laughed.
