"In the flesh."

Harold Osborn raises an eyebrow at a shocked Peter Parker. The boy stares at him in the mirror, seeing a face he hadn't seen in almost a year.

"Peter Parker," Harry says in a nostalgic tone, like he's greeting an old friend while he throws away his crumpled up paper towels.

Peter watches his every move, afraid he might try something. Like what? Who knows.

"Thought I recognized you," he snaps and points a waving finger at him, "I remember seeing you getting picked on by Flash Thompson at the beginning of your Freshman year."

Peter raises his eyebrows slightly, now getting up from his slouched over position and rests both of his palms on the edge of the sink.

Harry sees his questioning expression and gives him another flashy smirk, "Don't get me wrong, I wanted to help, but—well, you know. 'Health issues' or what-not got in the way," he says with a light chuckle.

Peter is taken aback by his show of friendliness. He didn't know wether to be cautious of his actions or roll with them. For now, he felt it right to be cautious. It's not everyday you encounter your girlfriend's supposed-to-be-dead brother.

"I—I thought you moved to, um, a preparatory school. . .?" He manages to change the subject.

"Most people did," Harry says matter-of-factly and puts his hands in his pant pockets. His head tilts slightly as his eyes squint with interest. Peter felt like the stares was about to eat him alive and he tried to swallow down the lump in his dry throat. "But Dad informed me of your awareness of the family disease my dear late mother brought into us. You don't have to pretend to be a clueless puppy dog anymore."

A minor thought crosses over Peter's mind. If Mr. Osborn used the cure on Madeline then how did he end up cured?

"Speaking of my father, he has. .told me a lot about you, Peter."

The boy's heartbeat picks up the pace in his chest. He talked about me with him? Of course he would, he hates my guts.

Peter remembers the last conversation he and Norman Osborn had in the hospital. His threatening tone of telling him to stay away from Madeline still engraved in his memories.
