Tony stared at the electric blue and purple sparks in awe. His mind became puzzled as he held the small metal rod in between his fingers.
He's never seen anything like it.
One moment she was producing hellfire, the next, a full circuit of electricity that could power up a whole neighborhood.
The closer he got to the girl's open palm that was facing the ceiling, the longer her sparks became. He got so close enough, that one suddenly latched onto his metal rod and gave a shock to his fingers holding it.
"—Ah! Ow," he swore under his breath and jerked his fingers away from her.
"Stark," Dr. Cho scolded and gave him a stern look. Both girls looked over to the billionaire who had on a guilt expression.
Dr. Cho, scoffing and shaking her head at him, continued drawing a blood sample from Madeline.
"Did that really hurt?" Peter suddenly popped up next to Tony with curiosity lacing his eyes. He too was stunned by what was happening.
"No, it was just a little prick—yes it damn well hurt." Tony said under his breath with sarcasm and sucked on his finger like a child.
"Geez," the younger winced, "like how bad?"
"Boys- -"
"- -Like sticking a pair of scissors in a wall socket- -"
"- -Boys!"
Dr. Cho then snapped, causing both of them, even Madeline, to jump in their shoes. The woman took a breath and put a hand on her growing stomach. She was well over about 3 months now and a baby bump had begun to appear. Now the hormones were raging and she couldn't go a second without craving custard and fish sticks.
"This is a serious matter," she said a bit calmer now, "Can you please stop acting like children and let me work with her?"
Peter nodded guiltily and turned away in his chair, but Tony only squinted his eyes at her.
"You wouldn't even have to right now if only they listened to me first."
"Tony, if you're still mad, I get- -"
"- -You bet your ass I'm still mad! You go off running around trying to beat a guy that pummeled you to the ground without a clear plan of what to do?!"
"It was a mistake, okay? It won't happen again!"
"Mr. Stark," Peter intervened, hating the arguing and wanting it to stop, "It was my fault first, I went to take care of him and she just wanted to help."
"Peter- -" she tried to intervene.
"- -No, I'm tired of you blaming yourself. You got hurt because I wasn't good enough and- -"
