"Everyone on my position," Steve directs his attention to the sky while the young Osborn, Natasha, and Okoye begin to feel power of strange electricity in the air. It coursed through the sky and gave them all chills. "We have incoming."
They all stood in the forest line of trees, protecting Vision from anyone or anything from coming near. They all had one purpose at the time and nothing else mattered. Thanos was here, and Madeline came up to Natasha just as she and Banner spotted a blue portal forming several feet away from the group.
A man-like giant with purple tinted skin walked through, his eyes scanned everyone that tensed up when he suddenly appeared. Maddie saw how big and tall he was, how much muscle he packed on. He was bigger than Thor and that was saying something.
On his left hand, he wore the golden gauntlet everyone was talking about. It already had five of the six stones on his knuckles. All he needed was one more and he could destroy half the planet.
"Cap," Banner said, "That's him."
Something broke inside her once he said that. Every doubt she had now reappeared. Thanos looked like he could beat everyone to a pulp, and he probably could using the stones. She swallowed a lump down her throat nervously and drew fire to fists. Her knuckles turned white and the amount of fear was coursing through her.
"Eyes up." Cap ordered and activated his shields to open up, "Stay sharp."
He ran towards the Titan, like everyone else did. Natasha left her side, eyes locked on her target as she slammed her separate batons together so they created one. This woke the girl up and she shook her head slightly to get thoughts out of her head.
You've come this far. Don't back down now. This is your fight too.
She ran with the group of Avengers, each taking their turn in trying to stop Thanos from walking too close to Vision. Banner was the one to reach him first. He leapt upwards in the giant Iron Man suit and drew back one arm to punch him. But, he ended up getting enthralled with blue sparks and went right through Thanos. He spun right passed him in the air, about to hit a wall of rock but gets stuck inside like cement.
One down.
Steve Rodgers went after Thanos, but purple power from the power stone had flown him backwards into the dirt. T'Challa's claws came out and he went to strike for his head, but Thanos grabbed him in time with a meaty hand and threw him to the ground as well. Kinetic energy from his suit caused T'Challa to hit the ground like a limp doll.
Three down.
As Natasha ran, she looked over to the young Osborn. The pure fear in her eyes told all that she was deathly afraid, but she kept running. Her roaring flames projected her up in the air and the blonde's brain suddenly clicked.
She's not ready.
"Stop!!" She screamed but Madeline didn't listen. The girl came closer to Thanos in her spiral ball of blue heat and he raised his gauntlet straight toward her. She fired all she had left, only to get wrapped up in her own fire. Natasha watched in horror as Thanos used the power stone to control the flames, wrapping her entire body with fire.
