The wind blew air through the girl's hair as she readies for battle—standing tall on the hovering moving platforms. She stood next to Natasha, her sharp eyes staring at the gigantic pointed stones that jutted out of the ground and rained on Wakanda just a few moments ago. Luckily, the barrier kept them safe from damages. But everyone knew there was more to this attack.
Dr. Banner ran in gigantic steps across the open field in the giant Iron Man suit while Sam and Rhodey were to the skies, making a reconnaissance of the area.
"I got two heat signatures on the tree line," Rhodey said through the ear coms and the floating vehicles everywhere slowed to a stop. Thousands of warriors and Wakanda's defenders flowed off of them like water and got into a calculated fighting position.
Natasha got off, following Bucky and Steve and Madeline joined the three heading to the front line. She looked to the tree line where Rhodey said but couldn't see anyone appear yet.
Her focus was broken by Steve looking down at her and turning to Nat. "Are you sure she should be part of this?"
"You couldn't stop me if you tried," Madeline said like it was nothing and smiled at his surprised reaction. "Besides, haven't been training for nothing, right?" "Might get hairy, you know." "Oh I'll be fine, Captain Rodgers. Plus it's about time I stretched a little."
Steve raised his brows and chucked slightly, going ahead with her confident attitude. "Yeah, alright then." The man turned to Natasha and T'Challa, nodding his head over to the opposite side. "Let's go see what were up against."
Madeline smirked excitedly, a hand already resting of the hilt of her new weapon, as she begins walking with the trio. But suddenly, she gets stopped with a strong hand halting her shoulder.
She glanced to the metal hand and quickly realized Bucky was the one who stopped her.
"- -Steady, Osborn." "What—W-Why not?" "We all play a part in this. Your turn will get here soon enough."
She watched in silent annoyance as the trio eventually got to the border and faced two aliens that were seen in both New York and Scotland. Apparently there were two other ones but none of them were here.
"How do we know that this won't end badly?" Madeline said to the soldier and he shook her shoulder with prominence. They met eyes, and he seemed to tell her the worst through them but his stance and words rang in strength.
"We don't. No one will. But it doesn't stop us from fighting, you hear?"
The girl nodded, her fingers heated up with power as she was now prepared mentally to fight. Bucky was right. Her small doubts stuck in her mind needed to go for now. She had to be ready for the biggest fight she had yet to a part of.
