•••••• Before...
The moment she saw Spider-Man get thrown across the street and crash into a window, was the moment Madeline Osborn knew she didn't know what they walked into.
Regret filled her when she suddenly got slammed into the concrete street. Electro's hands were wrapped around her throat and his volts courses through her nerves. Her muscles stiffened and she tried to get him off as he hovered above her struggling body.
He showed his teeth. Even tiny sparks flew from his noticeable gap right between his two front teeth. Even though he had no hair, Madeline could now tell who this guy was since he was so up close.
"Max," she strained with wide eyes, "s-stop. Please—"
"Ah. You recognize me now?" Max Dillon said amusingly, "When I'm about to kill your little boyfriend? When I'm about to kill you?"
The girl felt tears leave her eyes as his power grew stronger around her neck, almost to the point where she was about to fall unconscious.
But with the last of her strength, she raised her hands from below and tried her hardest to activate her power. But with a simple opening of his palm, Max let out a burst of energy toward her wrist and it strapped her hand down to the floor.
She couldn't even scream in pain from the bolts going through her neck and hand. She couldn't focus on activating her power so all she could do was let her muscles stiffen, causing her to not be able to move.
"I'm going to get a very nice reward when I bring you in to my friend," Max purred with a smile.
"I know w-what Harry wants an—and it won't work," she struggled to spit out, "Our bodies react differently, h-he doesn't know the cure will even fi-fix him- -"
"- -You think I care if either of you die?!" Electro grips her tighter, causing the girl to shut her eyes and try to resist his force.
His teeth clench together as he grips tighter and tighter. Everything was beginning to go dark for Madeline. All she could feel was searing pain in her neck and hands.
"Imagine it. . .I'll be a God. . .and you'll be long gone before then- -!"
"- -Get the hell away from her!!"
Madeline heard Peter from above and looked over Electro's shoulder to see him jumping out of the broken window and shooting a web at the back of their enemy's head.
She watched Electro flinch at the web coat his neck and his entire body glowed a violent mix of blues and purples. He let go of Madeline and she gasped for air once he did. Max had phased away from her and gone to Peter who was still in the air—trying to shoot his webs to catch himself—but he couldn't.
She sat up, fear rising in her chest when Electro appeared full form again and released his volts straight into Peter.
His body went limp in the air and his head hit a streetlamp nearby.
