"I've rigged all air vents in Grand Central to release my toxins off in five minutes. Thousands of people. .imagine it little sis. People with our disease dying because you won't give me the cure."
The pre recording heard on the small portable radio box pauses. Felicia Hardy's fake nails scratch anxiously at her black pencil skirt she was wearing. The blouse and short cardigan was mildly uncomfortable but it was the type of clothing she had to wear for her new job.
She knew what was coming. Harry Osborn couldn't have just shown up in New York at the same time Electro did. Felicia knew he couldn't be trusted so she's been working undercover for the past two months figuring him out.
Being a skilled thief and con artist, she was able to find out all sorts of secrets. Her first stop was of course to visit Electro himself at his cell in prison. And it wasn't too hard to get into. Jump a few fences, use her weapons she may have borrowed from Eddie, stay away from cameras, and dress like a security guard.
The man she learned to be Max Dillion was easily manipulated but also dangerous. He clearly had mental issues and was being tortured in a tank full of water.
Felicia was known to be a good liar, so she told him that she understood his intentions of wanting power and wanted the same from Harry. The only way to find Harry was through him though and she promised him to get him out of prison if he told her everything.
He was only half way out when he told her Harry's plans of tricking his sister for a cure to his disease. Felicia remembered Madeline Osborn as the girl who helped Peter fight Electro.
It was all the information she needed, so she put him back in the tank.
It was cruel, but he got what deserved for being selfish with power. "Only people with good hearts should have free will of power," she told him, "And your not one of them."
She knew only one persons in her life with a good heart and a good head on his shoulders. That person's been missing again for another two months. So Felicity took it upon herself to look after the streets herself. Drug dealing was a no. Mugging? Eh, she does it too. Graffiti, that was fine.
She wasn't the best at it, but at least she was trying to change for the better. Eddie definitely didn't like it, but that's not his problem.
Black Cat has been getting more and more popular in the underground. People say she's a shadow working on the side of Spider-Man and the Avengers. Felicia Hardy would never. This was just a peak of interest.
Her final undercover job was to discover the inside working of Harry Osborn. Why was he only seen around rarely these days? How come after another gas bomb attack, he'd be spotted near that area the day after?
It was all too sketchy. So the only way to catch a criminal was to work for one. That's where the fancy secretary clothes came in.
"What do you think, Miss Jones?" A cold voice startled her.
