It's been a long and tiring week for Peter. Everyday after school or in the afternoons, he'd go out into Queens looking for someone to save or someone to stop from doing bad things.
Ever since he had followed Black Cat, he had an urge to prove himself once again. He helped animals out of trees, stopped a robber stealing a TV, and even saved a kid from walking across a busy street.
During the time, he and Madeline had also tried to get her powers under control, using the apartment rooftop as a safe place to practice.
So far in the week, she hasn't really been improving.
The one night she had controlled it was something she planned on replicating again. But with hours upon hours of practice, it was going nowhere.
Their sessions on the roof would almost always end with the girl becoming frustrated and losing her temper. There had been accidents where her powers would spiral and Peter would have to dodge out of the way quickly or he'd most likely burn to a crisp.
Of course he was alright, but Madeline still wasn't and it worried him.
"Okay, I think we have time for one more. Karen, anything else? Give me something big like a bank heist or a break in!"
"Police responders are reporting from witnesses seeing a trespasser inside a restricted building. How about that?"
"Trespasser? Where are they at?"
"They were seen by security cameras in the Oscorp building."
"Oscorp? Why would someone go in there? Weird."
"I don't know. Does this catch your interest or shall I pick a different one?"
"No, let's check it out just to make sure no one's poking around." Peter says and reroutes his way back to the tall building seen from afar, jutting out from the city line.
He felt rain start to fall and seep in his suit as he swung and got closer to the building. He looked up into the darkening sky, seeing clouds come rumbling in from the west.
"We should make this quick. Karen, scan the building for heat signatures." Spider-Man swings and watches as the spider leaps off his chest and flies off in the dark near the Oscorp building. Peter could see what Droney can see at the corner of his monitor and saw it scan the building starting from the bottom.
Peter stuck a landing on the edge of an apartment complex near by and watched his screen carefully for any heat signatures and voices talking.
There was only a couple security guards running around, trying to find the trespasser, but eventually, Droney zooms in on someone sitting at the very top of the building.
