The rest of the car ride was very quiet. I knew Oswald wasn't the happiest with me right now, but the silence was not a bad one. It was more of a comforting one.
Soon enough we arrived at the camp where the kids had been. They all scurried over when they saw us.
"Papa! Mr. Felix!" They excitedly yelled, swarming us like hungry vultures.
I smiled, I had always loved these kids since the day I met them.
"Hello little ones" I greeted, picking up two of them while others swarmed my legs.
"Be careful kids" Oswald instructed, his protective side kicking in.
"They are fine" I argued, cuddling the two I had in my arms.
"You guys have gotten so big" I commented, though you really couldn't see much difference since we last saw them.
They all began to burst their opinions on the topic, yelling out inches or remarks on their height.
"Okay, okay calm down" Oswald shushed the kids
Now came the challenging part, getting them home.
Since there were so many of them we had to take about 3 trips, that was nothing new of course, but we didn't mind.
Once everyone was home we got them settled down for lunch. It was nice getting back in the routine. Soon I would have to do it for five more little babies.
I glanced over at Oswald who was busy talking to a few of the kids. I couldn't hear what he was saying, but I figured it had something to do with me.
"What if they don't want more siblings?" I thought to myself, setting the sandwich I was working on down.
Before my thoughts could turn any darker I was surrounded again.
The bunny children were looking up at me, their eyes filled with wonder.
"Yes?" I asked, wiping my hands off on a towel.
"Mr. Felix, your pwegnent?" Asked one of the younger ones.
My face began to burn slightly, did they even know that word? Or were they just repeating their papa?
"Um...yes. Do you know what that means?" I asked, kneeling down to them. I glanced over and saw that Oswald had left the room.
"Great thanks" I thought to myself with a roll of the eyes.
"We're going to have more siblings?" An older one asked this time.
"Yes, five more. We don't know the genders yet though" I began to explain to them.
"Where are they?" Another one asked off to my right.
"How do I explain this?!" I thought to myself.
"Um....Oswald" I glanced over at the doorway, hoping he would come and help me.
"What Feel?" Came a reply from the living room.
"Help?" I asked, nervous about what the children were thinking right now.
"With what?" Oswald approached the doorway.
"They want to know where the babies are...do I tell them?" I asked, a light blush on my face. It felt so awkward to talk about.
"I don't see why not" Oswald smiled, leaning against the frame of the door. This was like a show to him wasn't it.
"Well um...." I looked over at the one who had asked. "They are in my belly" I rest a hand on my small baby bump.
"What?" Some tilted their heads, while others looked at me confused.
"They are in my belly" I repeated myself.
"Why are they there?" A smaller one asked from the back of the group.
"Because they aren't born yet" I explained.
"When will they be born?" Another one from the back asked.
"In about 5 months" I smiled, resting my hand on my stomach.
"That's so long" a few of them groaned, and I couldn't help but laugh.
"They will be here before you know it. Now go finish up lunch" I shooed them back to the table.
They all rushed back to their food, leaving me and Oswald alone.
He approached me, wrapping his arms around my waist and kissing my cheek.
"Good job Feel" he smiled at me, our eyes connecting.
I truly loved this man.
