Chapter 47 - France

After a few days, their cruise ship, adventure of the seas, arrived at Southampton, England in the morning. Ray was eating breakfast with Fier in their cabin when they still had few kilometres away from the port. Together, they walked out of their cabins with their luggage and left the ship. Ray kept himself away from Azalea at all times, especially if Oxford is nearby. He positioned himself behind the family, doing Fier who is in his peaceful state.

They took a taxi from the port terminal and then headed to the nearest airport which is Heathrow airport. Ray volunteered to sit on the back, keeping himself close to Fier. When Ray sat next to the robot, Fier glanced at him with a questioning look. Ray also glanced at him and caught him looking back at him, so he immediately looked away. Fier pulled out the book, Life of Pi, and a pen and wrote a question on the back of the book and then gently handed it to Ray, whooping him the question that he wrote.

"What did you do wrong?", Ray read the question. Ray turned to Fier and gently took the pen from him and wrote something under the written question, he then handed the book and the pen back to Fier, slowly.

"I did nothing wrong.", Fier read what Ray and he started to write something under it, again, he handed it back to Ray with the pen and waited for him to return the book.

"i can see it in your eyes and your actions that you did something wrong.", wrote the robot. Ray let out a quiet sigh when he read the sentence.

The book continued to get passed back and forth even when they have run out of space to write, but that doesn't stop them. They have been passing the book so long that when Oxford turned around, he found them passing the book after one of them wrote something on it. When they arrived at the airport after a few minutes, they got out of the taxi and while they were still at the entrance of the building, Oxford gently approached Ray who is still close to Fier, passing a book.

"Mind telling me what the two of you are doing?", questioned the father.

Ray and Fier stopped passing the book when they got caught. Fier tried to move away from Ray but he noticed that Oxford was staring at him, preventing him to disperse. Ray and Fier looked down as they follow the group. Oxford snatched the book from Fier's right hand and quickly opened it, searching something that is out of place. He found their handwritings on the last page of the book.

"Do you know where we are?", questioned Oxford after he sighed at them.

"England.", answered Ray without hesitating.

"What continent?", Oxford questioned for the second time.

"Europe.", Ray stated correctly.

Entering the airport, Oxford and his family were the first one to walk through the metal detector. Fier glanced at Ray who was standing behind him.

"You won't get caught.", whispered Ray who was waiting for Fier to walk through the scanner.

Fier turned to face the front and slowly approached the scanner in front of him, he then felt relieved when he didn't hear the scanner went off. Ray followed and grabbed his luggage while staring at the robot with a slightly weird look.

"I know it's your first time.", said Ray to Fier before they rejoined to the group who were waiting at the check-in.

Oxford walked up to Fier and Ray and handed them their tickets. Ray examined the ticket and found out that they'll be in business class, too much for a half an hour trip and expensive. Even though Oxford and his family are rich, they still need to learn how to conserve money.

They went to the gate where their plane is and boarded it when they arrived at the gate. Fier requested Oxford that they change the seat, suddenly Fier wants to be next with Ray for some reason, but Oxford accepted the offer. Fier sat down on his seat which is just next to Ray whose seatbelt is already fastened and looking out at the window. After a few minutes, Fier too fastened his seatbelt even though he is almost indestructible. Oxford and his family also fastened their seatbelt when the icon light up and the plane started to taxi its way to the runway.

Ray continued to stare out at the window when the airplane took off, but he then moved away from the window when the plane flew through the sea of fluffy clouds. He turned his head to his right and there he sees Fier pressing some of the buttons in his area. Soon, the light of the seatbelt icon went off and was then followed by a short chime. Ray kept his seatbelt fastened even though the plane has reached its cruising altitude.

"I'll have the mango shake.", said Ray to the flight attendant who approached with a tray that has cold fresh drinks placed on it.

"I like mangoes.", Ray announced when he noticed that Fier is giving him a weird look.

"Never knew that.", replied Fier after the flight attendant asked him if he needs a refreshment or not.

Ray sighed before sipping his drink with a quick glance at the window.

"I'm good at keeping secrets safe.", Fier spoke while watching Ray drink his juice. Ray stopped and then turned his head to face Fier with a small smile on his face but then disappeared when Ray noticed that Oxford is walking towards them.
