Chapter 46 - Dance

Ray was in his bedroom's bathroom, rinsing his face when Oxford knocked and walked into the cabin. Ray left the bathroom to meet the man who is waiting in the living room. Oxford told Ray that they have already eaten dinner, through room service while Ray was still sleeping. Oxford was about to wake Ray up just a while ago but decided not to, thinking that Ray needs to regain his energy. Oxford questioned Ray if he is hungry so that he can request a room service in the cabin, where Oxford is currently at.

"I think I'm still full.", answered Ray when he removed his white general hat and kept it in his right hand.

"I see.", replied Oxford before he walked to Fier's bedroom, just to check on him and Ray followed from behind.

Ray was expecting that Fier was still asleep, but when they entered Fier's bedroom, they found him sitting on the bed, his hands are placed on between his laps, and just staring at the mirror.

"You alright?", questioned Oxford when he sat next to Fier gently.

"Yeah.", replied Fier.

Ray was leaning against the wall with his arms crossed watching the tao when Fier and Oxford started to have a chat. Ray soon walked out of the bedroom so that the two can have their private space, but before he left the room, he told Oxford that he will be going to the library just to distract himself. The library was empty when Ray walked in. Ray sat down after grabbing a few books from the history section and started to read them one by one.

"What do you think will happen to Ray once you returned him back too is cell?", Fier questioned Oxford who is still sitting next to him on the bed.

"I don't know. Maybe they'll assign a new one.", replied Oxford when he looked at him.

"I think you've already forgotten that you are the last -"

"You really believed that?", Oxford interrupted Fier all of sudden. Fier didn't answer, he instead stared at the man. "They are still abducting people, like what they did to me.", Oxford added.

"Do you still remember your past?", questioned Fier calmly.

"No. Just like Ray, I woke up in a room.", answered the man.

"So Oxford is not your real name?", questioned the robot and the man nodded back at him gently.

Ray left the library after reading the books that he selected from the history section. He went to the upper deck of the ship, where the pools are. He can hear the waves hitting the side of the ship and winds blowing when he leaned at the steel railings. He glanced down and only saw the distance between him and the water.

"I knew I would find you here.", Ray heard Azalea's voice coming from behind, so he turned around and there he sees the girl walking towards him.

Azalea leaned on the railings too, joining the man, they went silent for minutes. Ray was looking up at the night sky when Azalea looked at him, without even him knowing it.

"When are you going to teach me how to dance?", questioned the girl to the man.

Ray turned his head to her whilst saying, "Anytime."

"Can you teach me now?", Azalea questioned with a small smile.

Ray smiled back at the girl when he turned to her. He paused for a few seconds, thinking what he should answer. Ray moved away from the railings and told Azalea to give him both of her hands. Azalea approached him and gave him her hands as requested. Ray gently placed her right hand on his left shoulder and the other hand held it with his right hand and his left hand placed it carefully on her right waist. He started to avoid eye contact with her when he told her to move her right foot forward as he moves his left foot backward.

Fier was in the bedroom's bathroom, taking a shower when Ray and Azalea started to dance slowly. Fier went back to his original form so that he can clean himself properly. Oxford was sitting on Fier's bed, looking down at his phone and waiting for Fier to walk out of the bathroom. After a few minutes, Zinnia walked into the cabin where Oxford and Fier are currently. Oxford stood up when he found his wife standing in the doorway. He walked to her with a question.

"Is there something wrong?"

"Do you know where Azalea went?", questioned the mother.

"No...", Oxford answered when he turned around and glanced at the door which leads to the occupied bathroom. He then turned back around to face his wife with an idea. "I think I know where she is.", he added before walking out of the cabin and Zinnia went back to their cabin.

When Azalea started to get the hang of it, they continued to move around the deck, the two stared to each other even when Azalea did a swirl when Ray raised his right hand above her while also keeping her left hand in his grasp. After a few moves, they started to slowly come to a stop back to the spot where they began. When Ray was standing still, out of nowhere, Azalea leaned closer to him and planted a short kiss on his lips. Ray immediately moved away from the girl right after. Oxford arrived at the same deck when Ray has moved away from the girl. Oxford approached his daughter with a question.

"What are you two doing out here?"

"He just taught me how to dance that's all.", answered the girl when she turned around to face her father.

Ray was leaning again on the railings, not facing the two behind him, acting like nothing is happening.

"Fier is looking for you.", announced Oxford to Ray.

"Tell him I'll be there just a moment.", Ray told Oxford.

Oxford and Azalea left the deck, leaving Ray alone, and went back to their cabin to get some rest. After a few minutes, Ray left also the deck and returned to his cabin, to join Fier. He was silent in the process. He promised himself that he won't tell anyone of what just happened.
