Ray groaned when he woke up on the floor and immediately greeted by the luminous light of the room. He rolled to both sides, gathering some details just to know where he is at the moment. He found Cal in the distance talking to someone and his droid sitting on a chair who just noticed that he has finally gained conscious. He couldn't tell where he is right now, it looked like that he is in a bunker, due to the numerous large screens, that are somehow not displaying a thing, and computers placed systematically. Ray's robot was approaching him when Ray decided to stand up.
"One of us found you unconsciously on a catwalk in C Deck. Why did you leave the office?", the robot assisted the man to take a seat.
"I... I don't know...", Ray replied when he glanced at Cal. "Who's he talking to?"
"Osama bin Laden.", the robot moves aside, sitting next to him.
"How's everyone by the way?", Ray asked as he was watching the two men in the distance, not even a glance at the robot.
"Luckily, no one was injured..."
"What did they take this time?"
"They only took one thing.. and that is the trident, everything was destroyed."
Ray rested his head on the robot's left shoulder when he moved his right hand and suddenly he felt something in one of his pockets. He first made sure that the robot isn't looking before taking the object out. He remembered the thumb drive that was handed to him by the white robot. He slid it back into the pocket just in time when Cal turned around and is now walking towards them.
"What did you mean by 'everything was destroyed'?", Ray looked at the droid.
"Most of the facility is gone, ruble and bags of dust. We also lost communications with the other two facilities."
"There are four in total...", said Ray when finally Cal arrived in just a few feet in front of them.
"Stats?", Cal requested some information from Ray's robot.
"No one was hurt, but they took the trident..."
When Cal heard the word trident, he jerked his head in shock.
"And all of our communication systems, defence systems, and almost everything are down. The core is just clinging to life, they really hit us hard this time.", the robot handed Cal a tablet which is the list of stats about the integrity of the entire facility that the robots have gathered.
"How about the cells?", Cal asked a question.
"They're still structurally intact, not a single crack can be found.", answered the droid then he did a glance at Ray just to check him.
Cal was about to say something when suddenly someone called his name, it was another man, standing near the metal doors. He was wearing a pair of sunglasses and a white suit. Before Cal and the man started their conversation, he first turned around and told Ray and his robot to recount all the current prisoners and fix the cameras and the communication systems after, since they are the only two personnel in the facility that isn't doing anything.
Ray complied with the other as he was standing up and with the robot next to him, they walked pass Cal and the other man, leaving the bunker without saying a word. The scenery was awful as they were walking on a catwalk to the staircase which is now the only way to reach other floors and areas of the facility. There are some metal panels just hanging on the ceiling before the raid happen, the catwalks are plentiful, everywhere, it is the only platform that they can use to walk around the facility, but now they're just a few left, and some of them are dead-end. Ray saw a huge portion of the Test Section has been ripped off, like a monster came out of it, enraged.
"How come I'm not seeing a single human?", Ray let out a question when they started to walk up the stairs.
The robot glanced back at him for a second. "I'm not trying to be mean but, you're joking right?", Ray answered by shaking his head gently trying not to make himself dizzy from it.
"Oh yeah... I forgot it was announced just last week... Well... all men and women are sent back to their cells."
After a few minutes, they finally arrived in the hallway which Ray immediately recognised. It is in the hallway where he took Oxford, and he is correct, there are the same metal doors and the light fixtures. The robot suddenly handed him a glass clipboard with a checklist and a black-inked ballpoint pen.
"Just tell me if you are ready.", said the robot as he was standing next to a metal door when Ray was admiring by how long the list is but, of course, he nodded at the doors right afterward.
