Ray was standing at the entrance of the building where he believed Azalea and the mother live. It should be because the appearance of the building is just the same as Oxford's plus, it is just on the other side of the street, also next to Oxford's building. He glanced at himself at the glass panel before entering the building, he first made sure that there's nothing that stands out. He walked to the front desk and noticed that no one is there, no one is in the lobby for some reason. Ray looked around, searching for cameras, he oddly found none. Everything looked nice like nothing happened.
Ray decided to head to the elevators without announcing his presence. He chose the button which leads to the penthouse and when the elevator arrived, he walked out of it and stopped just meters away from the door. He noticed something strange, which also concerned him. The door was left open, leaving a few inches of gap. He moved closer and there he found the doorknob has been completely destroyed. He carefully walked into the penthouse and he couldn't believe what he is seeing. Everything was a mess, shattered glasses, holes on the walls, and there is even a knife stuck on the wall, just a foot near the door.
He explored the entire area and found no one, not even a body. He stood in the middle of the floor with both of his hands placed on his waist, pondering what just happened here and where are they. Then he remembered Oxford's penthouse, so he quickly left the building, crossed the street, and went into the other building. No one was in the lobby also. He was surprised, yet confused when he tried to open the door to the penthouse but it was locked. The door is still in its perfect condition, no scratches or whatsoever. He started to search for a way in, and that's when he remembered the window in the kitchen. Again, he went to the lobby and into the alleyway where he found the fire exit which leads directly to the penthouse. He gazed around, making sure that no one was around him or watching him. He gathered some stuff to build a platform and then he jumped and grabbed the ladder with both of his hands. He carefully hoists himself up whilst still looking around. After a couple of minutes, he arrived back at the penthouse by smashing the window hoping that it won't trigger an alarm if there is of course.
He was surprised to see that even Oxford's penthouse was completely destroyed, like the entire penthouse was flipped outside down, searching for something it may seem. Ray grabbed a knife on the floor, just for his safety, and carried it with him as he was walking around the penthouse. He found splotches of blood on the wall, ceiling and even on the floor. His heart started to pump faster as he was following the trails of blood. It leads to his room, its door was creaked open, and there was a drop of blood on the doorknob which Ray was about to touch. He carefully pushed the door open and found a dead body on the floor, it was wearing a vest with the logo of SPOT in the middle of it, it also looked like it was there for a very long time, because it smells bad, there are flies everywhere and the body already has worms in it. Ray covered his nose and even his mouth with his right sleeve.
He found the MacBook resting on the middle of the desk, likely untouched. He gently grabbed the laptop and quickly left the room, gasping for fresh air. He was standing near the kitchen when he was hearing something beeping, it wasn't that loud, but it was still enough for Ray to be able to hear it. He searched for its source, it was coming from Oxford's bedroom. He questioned himself, why didn't he hear it before as he was still scanning the entire penthouse. Ray gently removed the bedsheet and found the small glass memory card that still has the unknown symbol in it and Oxford's phone.
"Red.", Ray read the symbol when he picked up the devices.
Since he was in Oxford's bedroom, he looked for the charger for the laptop because he found out that it doesn't have enough juice left. Ray hid the memory card on one of his pockets, joining the USB device. He knew that this is not the safe place for him, that's why he won't stay long here, once he found the charger, he will casually leave the area.
Ray was walking away from the block when suddenly he heard a loud explosion behind him. He turned around just like everyone else nearby, he was shocked to see that one of the WTC towers is on fire like something just crashed into it head-on. People started to run in panic. Ray just turned around gently, ignoring the fact that thousands of lives are at stake. He went to a net cafe just to charge the MacBook whilst the people were being distracted by what is happening outside. Ray then left the place again when it became fully charged. He pulled out Oxford's phone and tried to access it, but he got denied. The phone can only be unlocked with the three scanners at the same time plus it also needs the passcode. Those three scanners are the face, eyes, and the fingerprint scanner. Its passcode contains six digits, it is that secure. The reason for that is because the phone contains classified data. Almost all phones manufactured by the SPOT Corp contains important data.
