Fier was on his bed when suddenly a pop-up appeared in his bottom right corner of his HUD. He sat up slowly whilst reading the text, it said that his beacon module has been activated, remotely again. He made his way to Ray's bedroom just to inform him, but he found that Ray is in the bathroom, taking a shower, so he sat down on the edge of the bed, waiting for him. The pop-up soon disappeared.
Oxford was having a conversation with his family when suddenly he felt his main phone vibrated in his right side pocket so he retrieved it and found that the phone is functioning again. He nodded before sliding it back to the pocket, already thinking that the problem has been fixed. After a few moments, they heard a knock on the front door. Oxford voluntarily answered the door and only found that it is just the hotel's room service. They have a trolley with some breakfast placed on it, he knew that it is for Zinnia and Azalea, just by looking at the food which is their favorite. Oxford held the door open for the staffs and he was rewarded with a thank you from them.
Ray is already in clothes when he walked out of the bathroom while brushing his hair without even knowing that someone is in his bedroom. Fier greeted him calmly when Ray sat down next to him on the bed with a question.
"Is there something wrong?"
"Well...", Fier slightly tilted his head to his right while facing Ray, "My beacon module has been activated again."
"Do we need to be worried?", questioned Ray with a suspicious look.
"I think... because Oxford told me that he turned the module off before he snatched me from the facility.", answered the robot after a shoer pause.
"Can't you just turn it off again?", asked Ray when he moved away from the bed, kneeled down on the floor next to his luggage, unzipped it and started to search for something.
"I haven't done that, even once. And maybe you are looking for this?", said Fier when he showed Ray the white folder which is what he was looking for.
"How come?", Ray continued to ask questions but also keeping in mind to not ask a lot. He knows that Fier drew a line where Ray shouldn't pass through it.
"I... I just don't want to talk about it.", was all Fier replied before shutting his mouth.
Ray sat back down on the bed while scanning each paper in the folder, searching for a way for Fier to shut it down independently. While he was searching, Oxford burst into their hotel room after a few knocks on the front door. Fier stood up to let Oxford know where they are.
"My phone is working again.", announced Oxford to Fier when he was approaching him with his phone in his right hand.
"My beacon too.", said Fier to Oxford which made both of his eyes widened and his head jerked. "Don't worry, Ray is finding a way for me to turn it off independently.", added the robot.
"Or I can just shut it down...", commented Oxford when he walked into Ray's bedroom with Fier following behind him.
Ray only did a glance to the two before focusing back to the white folder. Oxford kindly requested the toolbox from Ray and he only responded by pointing his right index finger on the luggage resting on the floor. Oxford told Fier to take a seat while getting the toolbox. Fier sat down on the chair as ordered by the man. Ray remained quiet, still searching for a method in one of the papers. Oxford was holding a screwdriver when he walked behind Fier. The only way to access the module is through the hatch which is located at the top of the robot's head. Gently, he started to remove the screws one-by-one and carefully placed them into a small transparent glass container.
"Hmmm.", uttered Ray when he closed and put down the white folder on the bed whilst staring at the two who are busy from his perspective. "I haven't found any."
Fier only nodded back at Ray just to let him know that he appreciated his effort. The room went quiet for a whole thirty-minutes, it was broken by Oxford when he screwed the screws back into their sockets, hence locking the hatch. He then moved away from Fier so that he can place back the screwdriver and to put the toolbox back into the luggage. He was about to zip the case when out of nowhere, the metal bracelet that is inside the luggage and which was attached to Ray's arm produced a high-pitched sound for only a few seconds, but that didn't stop Oxford to bring it out of the luggage and placed it on the bed.
He then sat down next to it whilst pulling out his main phone. He tried to contact one of his friends, which is Chap and who he expected to be still in the facility, but after waiting a few seconds, the device started to malfunction again. The screen began to lag intensely and not responding when Oxford tried to shut it down. After several attempts to restart the phone, he gave up and threw it on the bed. Ray and Fier were watching the Oxford before throwing the phone.
"Mind if I take a look at it?", Ray asked a question when he moved closer to the phone while keeping his eyes locked on Oxford, who answered with a small nod.
Ray sat down on the bed when he grabbed the device at started to examine it carefully. Unexpectedly, the phone that Ray is holding started to vibrate, someone is calling with an unknown number. He let Oxford know that someone is calling before handing it back to him. Oxford gazed at the device before answering it. He stood up and greeted the caller and Ray and Fier remained silent, listening to his conversation.
"Yes, sir.", Oxford started talking when he was scratching the back of his head. "I understand...", Oxford continued on. After a few minutes, Oxford removed the phone away from his right ear and ended the call. He turned around to face Ray whilst he keeps his phone away.
"It's time for you to go back to your cell...", Oxford told Ray with no emotions and after he inhaled deeply.
"Oh.", replied Ray when he glanced at Fier who is just sitting quietly in the space between them.
