Ray was sitting on a bench somewhere in the central park. He was strolling around the insides of the servers, finding a way to shut its defences down and to control it via remote. He glanced around from time to time, making sure that no one was nearby or watching him. He is also now making a plan of how to save everyone, he must first find a way to free them from their cells, and that is through the servers. Ray let out a sigh as he was frustrated by how many categories that the servers have. Some require a passcode, the rest doesn't, which made it easier for the man.
He clicked on the specific folder which contains the blueprint of the entire facility. He stared at the map for a couple of minutes, memorising every corner of it since he has no way to make a copy of it. After putting the map in his head, he then moved to the securities, which are the cameras and the doors. He can control the eyes throughout the facility and all of the doors, especially the ones in the cells. He was switching through the cameras when he stumbled upon Oxford, he saw him laying on his bed, he couldn't hear him, but he can clearly see him, thanks to the high refresh rate and the wider aperture.
Ray leaned in closer to the screen as he was trying to read Oxford's mouth. He can see him saying something, it also looked like that he was talking.
"Hhmmm... what are you trying to say?...", Ray questioned as he went to the settings of the camera searching for a way to zoom-in but couldn't so he instead recorded the entire screen.
When Oxford's lips stopped moving, he also ended the recording but he didn't close the window, he kept it on one of the corners as he was trying to find a way to transfer the video to another device. He started to tap his fingers on the table gently when he found out that he needs a device called "iPhone". Ray scratched his head when he felt something in one of his pockets, remembering the two devices, the USB drive, and the memory card. He pulled out the Kill Switch and placed it on the table, just an inch away from the port of the laptop. He was thinking if he should investigate it or not, he really wanted to but the only thing that's stopping him is the name of the drive. He figured that the USB drive will literally fry the MacBook pro so he placed it back into his pocket before standing up and leaving the library.
The public was still distracted by what is happening when Ray was walking back to the restaurant. Fire trucks and emergency vehicles were rushing to their destination when Ray arrived at the place. It was empty, he knew that he will get caught so he walked around and when he ended up in the alley, he found the back door of the restaurant. Ray jerked and came to a stop for a few seconds when he noticed that the door was left open, he can clearly recall that he closed the door, and no one was following him before he left the place.
He gazed around at his surroundings, he guessed that there was just an employee that was tasked to take out the trash. Ray peeked his head first in the doorway before walking inside. As he was walking down the stairs, which leads back to the chamber, he created a plan of how he will free the people in the facility. First, he needs to get to the servers, it acts as the brain of the facility, once he arrived at the servers safely, everything will be a piece of cake. The second step is optional, if there is a security protocol, he will need to deactivate it before proceeding to step three. The last step will be setting them free.
It may sound easy, but what Ray didn't know is that Cal ordered to increase the numbers of armed guards to cover the entire massive facility and gave them the authority to kill Ray if possible. Cal placed traps throughout the facility and even duplicated most of the areas to confuse Ray to which one is real. He also made sure that not a single human is a guard by replacing all of them with robots. Cal knows just a small percentage about Ray. The man's body has the ability to quickly heals itself, it can see through the dark, can smell farther than any known mammal, can run super fast, can jump high, its skin is thick enough to withstand lead bullets and frag grenades, his sense of hearing is phenomenal, and smart, really smart. Cal also has a last resort. He had someone built an armor for him just in case Ray somehow survived.
"Shall we declare Zero Hour?", the droid asked a suggestion when he stood in front of Cal who was sharpening the diamond knife that was given to him when he was just a test subject.
"It'll make it easier for him... ", replied the man when he placed the knife in the middle of his desk and its sharpest point is pointing at the robot. "Plus it will disturb the transition.", he added.
The robot left his sight when Cal leaned against his glass desk and staring at the bottle of champagne that still hasn't been opened for a millennium.
