Chapter Fifteen

Tonight was the big night, the night everyone has been anticipating, we were doing a marathon practice for cheerleading.
While the coordinator was watching us dance and our every move was monitored.

She picked Lena and I to be at the front because we were apparently the best dancers.

I was so excited and Lena was too, but she has been giving me this look like, I-know-something-you-dont-know
But I didn't care, I was too excited to care.

We did our final round of practice which ended before 2pm. I jogged to the bleachers and took a gulp of my water while everyone else left the gym quickly.

They were all going to get ready for the game in 4 hours. I needed to go home too and freshen up.

I went to the locker room to retrieve my outfit, I opened my locker and saw the most horrible thing ever.

My outfit was shredded in a horrible way and was so impossible to put together.
A tear escaped my eye.

The game was tonight, what am I gonna do. That's why Lena was so happy today. How could she do this to me when I never did anything to her.

I clutched the dress and sat on the floor beside my locker crying more.

Minutes later I heard the door and someone came in.

"Is someone here?" I heard Lucas' voice as he came closer.

He spotted me on the floor and rushed to me quickly.

"What happened to you" he asked removing my sticky hair from my face.

I sniffed "Its nothing"

"This is not nothing, Serena"

"What are you doing in the girls locker room anyway" I rubbed my eyes to convince him I was fine

"I was about locking up the gym till I heard a sound from here, you would've missed the game"

"I wont be going anyway " I shrugged

"What do you mean" he said, concern in his eyes "Your eyes are puffy, how long have you been crying"

"I don't know" I started crying again
He saw my outfit on my laps
"Who did this" he looked at it horrified

"I dont know, Lucas" I sobbed more "It was right in my locker I dont know who else has the combination"

"Well it doesn't matter, we have to look for a solution"

"There's nothing anybody can do right now, the game is in few hours, I just want to go home"

He stood up and helped me up, I couldn't stop the tears that was falling.

"Its okay, Serena" he wiped my cheeks "I dont like seeing you like this"
"C'mon lets go" he said again

"To where"

"My house"

"Why?. For what?"

"My sister was a cheerleader in this school, she graduated last year so she should have this outfit"

My face lit up "Are you serious"

He nodded. I put my arms around him, hugging him tightly.

He rubbed my back "You're welcome"

"We should get going" he said and I realized I was still hugging him

"Oh" I let go quickly

"I would have loved to cuddle with you, Serena but there's really no time" he smirked
