My bandage was finally off the next week.
Emily and I were in the cafeteria eating and chatting when Lena showed up with her tray.

"Can I join you..."

"No" Emily responded quickly, folding her arms.

Emily was clearly still mad because of Lena and her boyfriend ish.

"Emily" Lena said "I'm really sorry for messing around with your boyfriend, and I hope you can forgive me"

"No" Emily said again.

Wow, this is going to be harder than I thought.

Lena turned to me "Well Serena I wanted to talk to you"

"It's okay Lena, you can sit"

"Thank you" she said and sat.

Emily glared at me. She was trying to control her anger as she ate.
I ignored her and faced Lena.

"So, I wanted to talk to you about our birthday coming up"

My tummy churned, this was all so new and I almost forgot my birthday was in two weeks. Birthdays were never really special. Mom would just get me a gift and then we have a special dinner together.

"What about it?" I replied

"I was thinking we should have a party together, you know, it doesn't have to be all that big, but guests, family and stuff"

Emily spoke up "So now because you don't have friends anymore, you suddenly want to have a party with Serena"

"Emily!" I looked at her unbelievably.

Yes it was obvious Lena wasn't moving around with her friends and followers anymore, but I didn't want to ask her about it.

"Uh, I have to go" Lena said, her voice cracked as she stood up. There were tears in her eyes too.
She left quickly leaving her untouched food.

I stood up to follow her.

"Really Serena, you're going to follow her?"

"Why are you being a bitch Emily?"

"Because she has done terrible things to us"

"That she apologized for. What more do you want her to do, huh?"

Emily was quiet.
"You're not like this Em" I said again.

I grabbed my bag and went to the direction Lena went.
I caught her entering the girls bathroom so I followed her in and locked the door behind me.

She was sobbing profusely.

"Lena are you okay?" I asked moving closer to her.

She sniffed "Yes I'm fine" she was wiping tears carefully, in order to not smear more of her make up. "You should go back to Emily, I don't want to cause any trouble between you two"

"It's okay, we're good"

She began searching her bag for something, tissue maybe.
"Sorry about what Emily said" I told her.

"It's all good, I definitely had fake friends"

"What really happened" I asked as curiosity got me.

She shrugged "We got into a little fight and they stopped talking to me, even though I apologized several times. Well they started being friends with some new girl who is the prime ministers daughter or something"
