Chapter forty-one

Everyone was talking about our party next week and I hoped it would go well.
I was getting some stuffs from my locker when Emily came to me, we haven't talked since that day and I didn't feel guilty. Emily wasn't the type to hate someone to that extent.

"Serena" she said and I turned to her.

"I'm sorry for the other day, it was immature and I'm willing to apologize to Lena"

I sighed "No need for that, but can you please stop treating her like shit, I think she has gotten what she deserved"

She nodded in understanding and stretched out her hands.
"Friends?"

"Best friends" I replied and hugged her.

"Now can I get the invitation to your party" she said reaching for one in my hand.

"No!"

"Why not?"

"It's only for guys, so they can ask girls out"

"Oh nice, but I don't think anyone will ask me out" she said folding her arms and leaning on her locker.

"Trust me, someone will"

"I wish"

"So guess what?" I asked her, blushing deeply.

"You now live in Lena's house??"

"What, no" I said laughing "Lucas and I are back together"

She squealed loudly and everyone around us glanced at her like she was nuts.

I tried to hide my smile in my locker.

"Oh my gosh. Are you for real?, I knew this would happen, how did it happen??, where and when? Give me details!"

"We have algebra right now" I replied simply, shutting my locker.

"Okay then you'll give me the details in algebra!!"

I laughed and we walked to our next class.

It was finally Saturday and I must say, Lena and I looked beautiful, we had make up artists and hairstylists change us and we looked absolutely stunning.

The party started by 6pm and we were at the entrance of the event centre welcoming our guests.
I was already getting tired as we had to put on a permanent smile, listen to people wish us happy birthday and collect gifts that were placed aside.

I got to meet many of our families, dad's side of course and they were all so nice.
Many people from school were here and they all came with their dates.

Emily entered with a guy I recognized from one of my classes but I don't really know him.

"Happy birthday!" Emily said to us and we responded. Emily was looking nice in her turquoise fley dress.
She handed our gifts and we placed it where the others were.

"Really??and I thought I was special" she pouted

I laughed "Of course you are"

"Anyway this is Jason my date" she introduced.

I shook his hand and he wished me happy birthday.

They got inside seconds later and we continued receiving gifts and welcoming everyone.

Lucas came in sometime later and I must say he looks good in a tuxedo.

"Lucas where is your date?" Lena asked putting her hands on her hips.
