Chapter 24

Rose

"Nick!" I screamed but Halie held me back. "Go get help!"

Halie ran inside as three guys jumped Nick. One approached me and smirked.

"Andrew was right. You're insanely sexy," he hissed grabbing my hips. He pressed his lips on mine and I struggled against his grip. He pressed me on a car as his hands slid under my dress.

"Get off!" I screamed but he continued to hungrily kiss my neck gripping me all over.

"Hey! Get the fuck off of her!"

I opened my eyes and saw Edwin and Elom run to help Nick. Brandon grabbed the guy that was on me and punched him in his face. They began fighting but Brandon definitely was winning. Halie wrapped an arm around me and I just realized how bad I was shaking. Edwin, Elom, Nick and Brandon stared down the guys as the main one smirked evilly.

"Andrew is out. And he's coming after you and you baby girl," he said pointing at Nick and I.

"Tell Andrew if he comes near her I will fucking kill him. Understand?" Nick growled.

The guys laughed and walked off. Nick gripped his hair in frustration and paced back and forth.

"What happened?" Edwin barked looking at Nick. "Rose why the hell did you come out here alone to begin with?"

Halie looked at me sideways and I looked down. She hugged me tighter and I just couldn't talk. I was shaken up.

"She wasn't feeling good so I came out here to make sure she was fine. Then Halie came out and they came by and said disturbing shit and I lost control and punched him," Nick spat.

"What the did they say?" Elom asked.

"They called me a whore for kissing Nick," I spat and everyone stared at me. "Then the other guy made a comment about having sex with Halie."

"Rose-"

"Stop. I don't wanna hear it. Just clean up and put a fucking smile for Jewel and Zion. They don't got to know about this. We can tell them when they get back from their honeymoon," I demanded turning around.

I went straight to the bathroom and gripped the sink railings. Tears poured down my face and the door opened again revealing Halie. I wiped my tears and began brushing my hair to normal.

"Rose.."

"Halie please. I know what you're thinking and I'm sorry if you're angry with me-"

"Rose relax. I'm not mad at you. It just took me by surprise. I'm used to seeing you with my brother. But it's not like you cheated. Nick has been there all this time so I don't blame you. I'm here because I know you're back in that hole of disgust and I want to make sure you're ok," she said cutting me off.

"No. No Halie I'm not ok. It took me so long to get over what Andrew did to me. I considered myself healed and I feel like I just went back to square one," I cried as she quickly engulfed me in a hug.
