"College!!" Maria cheered as we stepped onto the campus. I smiled at her with my bags in hand ready to enter our second year of college.
"Oh, how I've missed it." She sighed wiping away a single imaginary tear. I laughed at her exaggeration and bumped her with my arm.
"Maybe instead of reminiscing you should help me get to my room," I suggested she just giggled and nodded.
"Yeah, let's go I'm curious who replaced me as your roommate this year." She said grabbing one of my bags to make it easier for me.

"I hope it's someone nice..." I sighed.
"Oh, I'm sure they'll be great!" She said enthused.
"Yeah... Yeah, I'm sure. I'm just nervous is all, I guess." I shrugged.
"Don't be, I'm literally just down the hall so if shit goes down, I'm there!" She exclaimed. I was so grateful for Maria. She's honestly the best friend I ever had. I smiled and put my free arm around her shoulders giving her a tight hug as we walked towards the girl's dorms.

Maria was the first to throw the door open and trot in, I followed shortly behind and upon entering the room we found it to be empty. I suppose my new roommate hadn't shown up yet. Neither of the beds were set and it looked like no one's been in here. I looked around the big dorm room. The beds were full sized and on either side of the wall. Right next to the main door on the right was the bathroom. I poked my head in there to see a large shower, toilet, and sink. Just a normal bathroom, nothing too exciting about it.

"Well, I honestly feel more comfortable in here alone than with a stranger." I huffed.

I put my bag in hand down on the bed away from the bathroom, but once my roommate comes I'll make sure this isn't the bed they want before I start setting up. Maria gently placed my bag on the floor and started looking around. I immediately went to the window and looked out. We were on the 5th floor so I got a pretty great view of almost the entire campus. Looking over the campus my eyes fall on the back of a very muscular guy. He turned his head and was talking to someone who was being blocked by a tree for me. I saw his big hand just holding a small petite one. They were a good distance away so I couldn't get a good look at the faces but the guy... he looked so familiar from where I was standing. I squinted my eyes hoping to get a better look.

"What's up?" Maria said walking over to me. I quickly looked at her.
"What?" I asked.
"Whoa, were you that enticed by the college boys?" She chuckled.
"Of course not I have... I have my Lucas." I sighed looking down at my hands. Maria right away grabbed my hands and smiled at me.
"You're ok." She reassured me giving me a sympathetic look. I nodded and took a deep breath closing my eyes. Resisting the urge to tear up.

Maria and I waited for maybe a good thirty minutes before we heard the door start to click open. We immediately jumped off the beds we were lying on across from each other. Maria ran over to my side right next to me with her hands in front of her.

The door slowly opened to reveal a familiar tall, blonde and perky girl from high school.

"Lisa?!" Maria screamed excitedly.

"Oh my gosh!" She dropped her bag and ran over to us. She came in and hugged us tight. When she pulled back we both exchanged fake smiles to each other.

Lisa and I never truly got along after she called me out for kissing Shawn and liking him, back in summer after we graduated. Not in high school or caring about my reputation anymore I admitted to it. She called me a useless slut and threatened to tell Lucas. She said she was mad for all the work she put into making me who I was and putting me on top and I was throwing it all away. After the fight she really did tell Lucas and then it all just... started.

"It's so good to see you." I chimed to her, clearly lying.
"I know, it's wonderful seeing your gorgeous face again." She smiled placing a hand on my cheek.
"Oh my gosh guys, this is so great! Lisa come on you have to see my room!" Maria jumped and grabbed Lisa's hand, pulling her toward the door.
"I'd love to! Cecilia, babe get my things if you'd be so kind." Lisa said with a wicked smile on her face as she looked over her shoulder at me. I just shot a wide smile at her and nodded. Then they were gone. My smile immediately dropped as I looked at the big pink luggage on the floor. I sighed and walked over to it just right under the doorway.

I bent down to get it when I did a pair of long legs quickly walked past me. I looked up only to see the back of the familiar guy from earlier. I furrowed my brows again watching him walk away... even that was familiar. I quickly pushed Lisa's bag in the door with my foot and shut it as I started walking down the hall following the guy. It was kind of hard keeping up with him. His long slender legs took wide steps, much wider than my own making him a lot faster.

"Excuse me." I quietly called out from behind him. But he just kept walking. Maybe he didn't hear me. He quickly walked into the elevator and without turning around he pushed a button. Why won't he look at me? Is he purposely avoiding me? Either way, I stayed put because I had no use being in the elevator at this time. I had to get back and unpack. As soon as the doors were just about the shut the mysterious man turned around. I gasped at the sight of him. It was him...

"Shawn..." I breathed out his name too shocked to speak louder. He just smirked at me, his hands folded in front of him until he was out of sight.
