I was in the other elevator waiting impatiently to get to the bottom floor. Thankfully no one needed to get on at any of the floors and I had a nonstop way down. Once I heard the ding I waited just until there was enough room for me to run through the doors. I ran out into the lobby looking around for him. Then I heard the elevator ding again. I snapped around to see the doors slowly open. I smiled big and ran up to it, knowing it was the one Shawn took.

"Shawn I-" I cut myself off when I saw it was empty.
"W-What?" I asked looking further into it as if he was hiding in there. Did he get off on another floor? There's no way I can be too late to catch him if he was leaving the building. I quickly run to the main entrance of the building. I pushed open the glass doors and ran out. I stopped in front of the dorm building and looked around. I remember exactly what he was wearing, black skinny jeans, black dress shirt with the top 3 buttons down and a black leather jacket. But he was so different from when I last remember seeing him in high school. He was so much taller, he actually grew out his hair and had it pushed up and to the side, like how I did it for him... Then there was a tattoo of something on his hand! I can't believe he has a tattoo! I have to ask him about it!

I looked around for him. I swear it was him, I know his face, even if it changes I know it. I stepped forward a little just in case he got further. But nothing. I wish I could call out loud for him without people thinking I was insane. I sigh, disappointed I lost him. I just hope, really, really hope... I want to see him again.

I made my way defeated back to my room. I leaned against the elevator wall as I went up. When I heard the ding I waited to step out. Once I did I see Maria and Lisa linked arms walking out from Maria's dorm.

"Cecilia? Where were you?" Maria asked.
"Oh... uh. Saw someone from high school." I said shrugging.
"Oh! Who?" Maria got excited probably hoping it was someone she knew too.
"Uh..." I glanced at Lisa before looking back at Maria, "Oliver."I lied. Maria scrunched up her nose.
"Why would you go see garbage like that! Ugh!" She gagged. I half smiled at her.
"Just wanted to see if it was really him, didn't actually talk to him y'know?" I explained.
"Oh I see, for like a warning, keeping an eye out for me, you're so sweet Cecilia!" Maria exclaimed letting go of Lisa, running up to me and giving me a tight hug. I huffed and hugged her back.
"Of course Maria," I said as I looked back to Lisa. Her arms were crossed and she gave me almost a scolding look as if she knew I was lying.

Back in mine and Lisa's room, we were unpacking. Not really caring for Lisa's opinion I took the bed away from the bathroom but at least she didn't argue.

The room was silent, kind of awkward. I placed my panties and bras in the two separate drawers on the bedside table provided by the school for our rooms. The rest of my clothes I separated in my dresser at the foot of my bed, also provided by the school.

"So..." Lisa chimed breaking our silence, me wishing she hadn't, "how was your summer?"
"You know what's happening Lisa, don't play dumb." I sighed.
"Listen it's your own fault, you brought this upon yourself."
"I didn't do anything."
"Except kiss a guy who wasn't your boyfriend."
"Because he actually meant something to me..." I mumbled quietly.
"What was that?" She asked either shocked or didn't hear me.
"Nothing."
"It... It sounded like you loved the nerdy shit Shawn Mendes more than your own boyfriend."
"I didn't love him ok? I liked him, I kissed him because I liked him."
"That's cute. So you just like people for their personalities I suppose."
"I do actually, and Shawn was a really good kid." I defended him. Lisa just laughed. I looked over at her and she just had a genuine stupid smile on her face as if I told her a joke.
"Lisa this would be a lot easier if you just didn't talk to me."

I threw the last shirt in its designated drawer and slammed it shut. I placed my bag under my bed and grabbed my phone. I placed it in my back pocket and stormed out the room. As I was about to walk to Maria's room my phone started buzzing. I reached for it and when I checked the caller ID I saw it was Lucas, above that it showed a message that I had 12 miss calls from him.

"Shit." I hissed as I quickly slid my finger across the screen answering it. I looked around seeing if anyone was around and quickly walked to the staircase.
"Hello? Lucas?" I answered.

I walked up to Maria's dorm room and knocked. Right away Maria opened it with a huge smile on her face.

"Cecilia, you won't believe how cool...wait," she stopped herself, "were you crying?"
"What? No, why would I?" I huffed out a small laugh.
"But Cecilia your cheeks look like you have dry tears... was it Lisa? She can be a bit mean sometimes, she's made me cry before too." Maria sighed.
"Uh... yeah. She commented that my outfit made me look fat so I came here to ask what you thought." I lied.
"Oh! You know you're beautiful in anything!" She exclaimed giving me yet another big hug. I smiled and hugged her back feeling comforted by her.
"Lisa's said that to me before too and I was wearing black! Like how can I be fat in black?!" She asked as she pulled away. She grabbed my hand and lead me in her room with her.

"And so my mom tells him, 'you better treat my Mija with the respect she deserves! If you hurt her in any way I will hail my rath on you like you've never known before!'" Maria recalled.
"Oh my God, what actually happened when you guys broke up though?" I asked.
"Oh, I was crying like a baby! My mom the entire time was snuggling me and telling me that if Oliver ever stepped foot near me, let her know and she'd be there in seconds to kill him!" She explained. I laughed at her over exaggerated mother and shook my head.

"I miss your mom." I sighed.
"Tch, the feels mutual. Almost every day when I was back home for summer, 'where's Cecilia, where's Cecilia, donde esta Cecilia?'" She imitated her mom's voice. I giggled.
"Well I better get going my first class is tomorrow, then my next two classes are Wednesday and Thursday. I need to get everything prepared." I explained standing from her bed. I walked over to her door and opened it.

"Oh and hey, I know Lisa can be a lot sometimes but just hang in there, you know she says those things because she cares and want's us to look super hot," Maria explained. I gave her a small smile.

"I know." I sighed before walking out, shutting the door behind me.
