Part 24

With that we have completed the game and all retired to rooms. I went to Manik's room after keeping the dishes only to find him working in his laptop.. he and his work 🙄

I tried sleeping but couldn't sleep. I want to read book so i can get sleep but now I cannot go to my room as Mukti n Alya are using that room. Then I remembered something and asked Manik "you have any book to read"

He looked at me and said "I don't have any"

"Yesterday you said you are reading some book., give that to me"

"Oh that's just magazine" he said scratching his neck.

Why he is nervous now I thought and not knowing what to do i just lied down covering my self fully with duvet as he is working still with table lamp. Got irritated and said "can you switch of the light?"

He said he still need sometime.. even after 10min he didn't switch it off.. in anger i just got up and snatched laptop from him and closed it. I switched off light ., He is looking at me shocked i said "working late nights is not good for your health.. being good wife i need to take care of my husband na" and covered myself with duvet.

He came after recovering from shock and slept next to me. Though i lied down I couldn't sleep.. how can i sleep when he is next to me just arm distance.. ahh this stupid bed also which is very small.. i cant even move away.. when i was thinking all these he asked me "slept?"
"No"
"What happened between you and Aryaman? Why did you guys broke up?"

He still thinks that i loved Aryaman.. 😡🤬 here i am trying to behave nicely with him for these days and he spoiled it again.. i felt the same feeling that I had 3years ago.. how can he even think that i loved Aryaman when he know most of my time I spend with him... without knowing i felt tears 😢 on my cheeks..

"Why do you always hurt me Manik.. whenever i try to be happy you remind me the things that i want to forget and make me sad.."

"Hey are you crying?.. I didn't mean to hurt you by asking about him"

Still he thinks i am hurt because of Aryaman 😳 i was crying by now..

He held me close to him and said caressing my head "don't cry.. sleep".

I don't know how to feel now one side he hurt me with his words other side he shows care with actions.. thank god i got married to him if it is any other girl she would have left him within 2 days..

I pushed him away and turned otherside and slept...

I felt his presence near me and now feeling his breath on my face... no he can't kiss me he didn't even apologise for his mistake.. I can't let him near me.. with that i got up suddenly and fell off from bed.. he came immediately and held me asking "are you fine?"
"Don't touch me.."
"Without touching how can i life you ?"
I stood up immediately and sat on bed thinking whether its dream or really was he about to kiss me?
I asked him "were you sleeping sometime back?"
Manik "Nandini What happened? Are you fine? I was sleeping when i heard you mumbling something and then fell off from bed.."
"Was I dreaming? But it doesn't seem like dream"
Manik: What happened?
"Nothing just a nightmare"
His face fell and asked "you were not having these nightmares in college days"
I replied sarcastically "after college I started watching horror movies so whenever I watch i get nightmares"
And slept keeping distance from him.

Morning i got up with light headache because of him.. he is still sleeping like baby.. no one can believe he is same monster who irritates when ho got up.. unknowingly I started admiring him..  he has two day stubble which is making him more handsome..
while i am admiring him he said "go and prepare breakfast.. enough of staring me.." and turned to otherside..
Wow.. just great.. what a start to morning.. I thought and left to freshen up...

I went to kitchen to have coffee first then i saw Cabir entering kitchen. I made him coffee and we both are sitting in garden..
Cabir: so Nandu.. how are your friends from college? Krish, Varun and drama queen Navya..
Nandini: I don't know bhai.. i am not in contact with anyone after college..
Cabir was looking bit shocked and asked : i mean you are not in contact with anyone after college.. ???

Nandini: haa

Cabir: not even with Navya

I nodded as no and said "while leaving Chennai I threw my SIM card and never contacted anyone"

He asked "are you sure?"

I just nodded in confusion and asked him what happened?

He said he will talk to me later and asked me where is Manik ?

I said he is in room still sleeping ..

He immediately went to room.. I went to kitchen and started making breakfast..

After sometime Manik came to kitchen with Cabir asking "you are not in contact with Navya? After college?"

What happened to them why they are behaving like this today.. i said no..

From when you were not talking to her? Again he asked

I got irritated and said "after our fight thats the last time I spoke to her.. now don't ask me any questions and just leave from here"

They both left from there looking confused.. but I ignored and soon everyone gathered and we all had good time.. that day we all went to roam in city and other places which are near to Chennai as Mukti, Alya and Dhruv came for first time.

Due to some emergency they all had to leave that night and they said they will be back after two days with Manik parents...
