Well, there is something you gotta acknowledge if you are a person standing on this planet: you are not the only one. So, with that being said, I think we can all agree that you can't live by your rules all the time, because my rules are not the same as yours. So? So this is the complicated part.

Our class, at the school of medicine had one important rule, and the only one which was: Your rules aren't more or less important than other's rules. They are all equally important. So you gotta respect them.

Two hours and a half had passed since Owen was left in recovery. No signs of life, no signs of response. Mouth shut, eyes closed... nothing at all.
Amelia was as impatient as you can imagine. Every ten minutes, she asked how much time had passed since April had left.
Three hours had passed. Nothing
Four. Nothing.
April was on her shift again, so she came to check on Owen. For her surprise, he wasn't awake as she had said.

I also remember following Bailey's rules when she was chief resident and we were just the scared and hopeful interns. What about our rules back then? We had to respect hers but she didn't respect ours, at least until we imposed our presence.
