The angels

Meredith's pov:

-While I was in surgery, I had a dream. I had a dream I would die and meet with Lexie, and she would cry,  but she would be happy to see me again. She was now an angel. I also met with Derek, who was a bit angry I had to die, but he was happy to see me too. He was now an angel. I saw Mark, who was madly in love with my sister, and he was also an angel. They were my angels. My guardian angels. They had made me hurt the most, but it wasn't their fault. It was life. I also met with someone I love, which was disturbing at the same time because he wasn't dead yet. It was Nathan. If I didn't get out of surgery, he would die. I also saw my dog, Doc. He was playing with his toys, and chasing after George. All my angels were there. All happy, living their lives, well, post lives I assume. And then I realized, our demons are also our angels. My demons are all of their deaths, but they are my angels as well. So there is no way light exists without darkness. There is both. There is light, and there is darkness, and they both coexist.

-So you saw all those people in your dreams?
-Yes- I said
-Well it must have been a very long dream- Bailey said
-Well you guys took forever to save me, so yes- I added laughing.
-Meredith, do you wanna see Nathan?
-Yes please-I said
In that moment, Nathan came. Bailey and April left us alone.
-How are you doing? You had me worried
-I am okay, don't worry. I wanna be with you, because life is too short to waste doing anything less than what makes us happy. We get to be happy now.
-Mer, we need to talk- as he said this my smile faded.- I need to stay away from you, I am toxic, dangerous, hell you almost died because of me.
-Wait there. I didn't almost die because of you, I almost died because of that crazy bitch.
-Yes, but it was all my fault. We can't keep doing this Mer, pretending I don't hurt you every time.
-Well, you are hurting me now- I said
-And I am sorry, but Mer, your life is at risk, this is serious.
-You know what was serious? Me saying I love you.

-Meredith, I need you to be safe, I wouldn't forgive myself.
