~Day 25~
A week had passed since Rebecca and Glenn had joined the group at the Quarry and it had been wonderful. At first, Rebecca expected some of the group member to be suspicious of her at first since the whole thing with her and Shane over her 'supposed bite' but they had welcomed her and Glenn with open arms.
Rebecca had gotten close to were Carl, Sophia and Carol. But there was one person who she couldn't stand and that was Merle Dixon. Every day, he flirted with her and every day she shot him down.
Now there was one person in the group that Rebecca had not met yet...and that was Merle's younger brother. Now if he was anything like Merle, she would not want to meet him, but her mother always told her to never judge a book by its cover.
So Rebecca hoped that Merle's brother would be nothing like him and she would soon find out that morning she went hunting.
Rebecca woke up in the morning to an empty tent that she and Glenn shared. She sat up on her cot and changed her clothes before putting her shoes on. She grabbed her crossbow and stepped out of the tent but only to be stopped by Carl.
"Good morning, Becca!" Carl said with a big smile on his face. Rebecca ruffled the young boy's hair, "Good morning, Carl." Ever since she met Carl on the first day she arrived, the two clicked instantly.
"Where are you heading off to?" Carl asked as he trailed after her. "Well...I was planning on going into the woods to find some more food for us."
"Maybe you'll see Daryl in the woods!" Carl exclaimed. He then tilts his head up at her, "I think it is weird how you two haven't met yet." Rebecca hummed in agreement, "It is pretty weird."
"Can I go with you?"
Rebecca stopped at the end of the woods and turned to look down at the young boy. She bent down to his height, "Carl, you know I would love to take you with me but...I don't think your mom would want you out in the woods where there could be geeks walking around."
Carl frowned and kicked a rock away with his foot, "Okay." Rebecca frowned; she didn't want Carl to feel down about not going with her. Her frown then turned into a slight smile, "Hey."
Carl looked up at her; his bright blue eyes stared into her dark brown eyes. "When I get back, we can go head to head in a game of tic-tac-toe." Carl smirked at her, "You are going to lose again." Rebecca chuckled, "We'll see about that buddy."
"Becca!"
Rebecca straightened herself up and waved at Glenn who walked towards her and Carl. "Hey Glenn," Rebecca and Carl greeted. "Are you going hunting?" he asked her. Rebecca nodded.
"Be careful out there," Glenn advised her. Rebecca winked at Glenn, "Always am. I'll see you two later."
Rebecca faced the woods and walked towards it. Carl and Glenn watched her figure disappear into the trees. Glenn placed his hand on Carl's shoulder, "Come on, let's go get some breakfast."
Carl shook his head, "I already ate. I'm just going to sit here and wait for Rebecca." Glenn nodded, "Okay, I'll go tell your mom where you are that way she doesn't get worried." "Thanks, Glenn." "No problem. Now, remember-" "Don't go into the woods. I know." "See you around." Glenn bid his goodbye to Carl.
Carl watched Glenn walk up to the camp before he eventually sat down on the ground and started playing with the grass as he waited for Rebecca to return from her hunt.

Three hours had passed since Rebecca has been in the woods and so far she had managed to catch six squirrels.
