~Day 503~

The sun beamed down on Daryl, Michonne, Bob and Tyreese as they made their way down the road. They had lost a whole night due to the herd of walkers ambushing them on the way to the veterinary. Now they were more determined than ever to get back to their mission and find the meds needed for the people who were sick back at the prison.

A glint of sparkle captures Daryl's attention as he halts to a stop and kneels. He digs around in the dirt for a few seconds before grabbing the stone and stands back up. He licks his fingers and brushes the dirt off.

"Is that jasper?" Michonne asks Daryl who nods. "It's a good color. Brings out your eyes." Daryl glances up to see Michonne smirking at him. Daryl rolls his eyes. "When Miss Richards went into A block, we were leaving. Asked me to keep a lookout. I'm gonna use it for her old man's marker."

Michonne's brows rose. "You know all them back there?" Daryl nods. "You stay in one place more than a couple hours; you'd be surprised what you pick up." Daryl tells her before taking the lead down the road. Michonne rolls her eyes before following him.

A little while later, the four came upon a mechanic shop. They treaded carefully onto the property, keeping their senses on high alert for any walkers.

Bob glances over at Daryl whose attention was on a big pile of vines. "You see something?" "I don't know. Maybe." Daryl sets his crossbow down onto the ground. He bends down and brushes the leaves apart, a smile tugging at his lips. "Hey! Help me out here!"

Bob and Tyreese hurries over and begins moving the vines which revealed a car underneath it. Bob lets out a laugh as he and Tyreese continued to work on clearing the branches. Daryl cleared the vines off the passenger's door and climbed in. He settled himself down onto the floor and pulled the wires out from underneath the steering wheel and began to hot-wire the car.

After working tirelessly, Daryl throws the wires down in frustration and climbs out of the car. "We gotta find us a new battery." Michonne sighed. "Great," she muttered. Daryl turns toward the building beside him, spotting a dirty window. He spits into his hand and begins to wipe away the dirt only to jump back when a walker slammed his hands up against the window.

"Got some friends inside. Come on," he tells them as they make their way toward the front entrance where it was covered in vines. "Let's clear a path, see how many we got." The four began to hack away at the leaves. Loud grunting noises soon filled the air making Daryl, Michonne and Bob look over at Tyreese with concern.

"Hey, man, go easy. We don't know what we're dealing with," Daryl tells Tyreese who ignores him and continues to hack away at the vines. With one final grunt, he lowers his weapon down and begins to yank on the vines. But what he didn't know was that the vines were stuck on the door handle of the shop. The very same door that was keeping the walkers in. As Tyreese jiggled the vines some more, he finally pulled it free, chucking it down onto the ground.

Daryl glanced over at Tyreese and in a split second, a hand reached out of the vines and grabbed onto Daryl's vest. Michonne spins around, katana in the air and brings it down onto the walker's arm, detaching it from its body. Daryl steps back as the arm falls at his feet. Loud growls were heard from the vines as a walker appeared and latched onto Bob. Bob lets out a scream as he struggles to push the walker away from him.

Meanwhile another walker appeared by Daryl, who quickly took it out by stabbing it in the head with his knife. Seeing that Bob was struggling with his walker, Michonne rushed over and stabbed her katana into his chin. The sword's tip came out at the top of its skull. Michonne pulls her katana out, the walker's head rolling off its body as Bob fell onto his back. He thanks Michonne with a nod before looking over at Tyreese who was now dealing with a walker.
