[27]: Home Sweet Home

~Day 301~

The sun rose over the prison, its brightness waking the group up from their deep slumber. They all stretched and cracked their joints as they got up, ready to start the day.

The group met up with Rick who was standing up the gate that Rebecca had locked yesterday. Everyone got their weapons out as they prepared to take down the herd of walkers on the other side of the gate.

The ones that would be going with Rick on the other side would be Rebecca, Daryl, T-Dog, Glenn and Maggie.

"Ready?" Hershel asked the six as they nodded. Rick unlocks the gate and pushes it open forcefully as a walker that was nearby immediately made its way towards them. 

T-Dog who was in front of Rebecca with Daryl behind her, ready his crowbar and jammed it through the walker's head, making it drop to the ground, lifeless. 

Rebecca spots a walker towards her right and grabs it shirt, jamming her knife into his head and pulling it down. She then spots a walker heading towards Daryl.

"Daryl!" 

Daryl grabs the walker by its shirt and kills it instantly. He and Rebecca steps backwards until they are in a formed into a circle with the others.

"Come on!" Rick yells as he kills a walker as they quickly made their way through the courtyard killing the walkers from left to right while the rest of the group stood on the other side of the fence, begins yelling at the spare walkers making them come towards them as they kills them through the fence.

After killing the walkers that were around the courtyard, the group slowly make their way down, checking a tower to find that it was empty before continuing on.

Rick was in the lead and what he saw up ahead made him slam his back against the tower, making the others do so as well. "Shit." Rick mutters as T-Dog glances up ahead and sees what Rick was talking about.

Suddenly, behind a dumpster, Rebecca spots two walkers wearing a suit of armor walk out. Two more walks out from behind the tower. Daryl fires an arrow at one of them but all it did was bounce off the helmet shield making him back up.

Rebecca hears a faint growl and turns around to see another one with armor walk out of the tower towards Maggie who immediately attacks it with her knife, pushing him back.

T-Dog starts going at one of the armor walkers with a police shield and baton but it did nothing. Rebecca fought off one as well alongside T-Dog as they didn't know how to take them down.

The commotion drew the herd of walkers attention by the other fence as they start to head out towards them. "Daryl!" Rick yells as Rebecca body slams the walker she was fighting down to the ground as Rick jumps over her and runs towards the fence with Daryl hot on his heels.

Rick kicks a walker back into the other side as Daryl quickly closes the gate, locking the herd of walkers behind the fence.

Rebecca stands up and begins kicking the walker that was on the ground, since she still didn't know how to kill it. Meanwhile Maggie was fighting one off when she pushes the mask up a bit and thrust her knife into the walker's chin, instantly killing it. The walker fell to the ground as Maggie was ecstatic as she turns to Glenn and T-Dog. "See that?" 

They do the same to a walker that was in front of them, killing it together while Rebecca pushes the mask up off the walker that was on the ground and kills it.

The group stands around and surveys the scene as Glenn runs off towards the fence where the group stood waiting but Rick stops him. "Well, it looks secure." Glenn says.
