~Day 500~

The sound of faint chattering woke Rebecca up from a deep slumber. She let out a small groan as her eyes adjusted to the faint darkness of the cell. She looked down and saw an arm hooked around her waist. She turned her head to see that Daryl was still sleeping. A smile broke out on her face as memories of last night played through her mind.

A cell door was covered with a sheet, giving the couple inside it privacy.

Daryl's heart pounded against his chest as Rebecca was straddled on his lap, kissing him. His arms were around her, his fingers gently hiking her shit up. Rebecca let out a small gasp as his cold fingers came in contact with her skin. Her hands trailed down from his cheek to his chest, playing with the hem of his vest. She tugged on the material, pulling him closer. Daryl smirked in the kiss as his hands trailed up and down her side.

Next thing Daryl knew, Rebecca had shrugged his angel vest down his arms. The two quickly broke the kiss, Rebecca pulling her shirt off. She gave him a smile, leaning forward to kiss him again but Daryl backed away, lowering his head.

Rebecca climbed off his lap and sat back on the bed as she studied him for a moment. "We don't have to if you don't want to," she began as Daryl held his vest in his hands. "I know you wanted to take it slow and I respect that. So I'm sorry if I made it like I was rushing you or-"

"It's not that," Daryl's rough voice spoke out, stopping Rebecca's rant. "It's just-" he cleared his throat. He was afraid to reveal the scars on his back to her. He was afraid of how she would react. After all...he didn't want to lose the best thing that ever happened to him.

"It's okay." Rebecca took his hand into hers. "You don't have to explain. I can wait." Daryl pulls his hand out of her grasp and abruptly stands up from the bed. Rebecca frowned at the action but watched Daryl carefully as he fist the bottom of his shirt in his hands.

He slowly pulled his shirt up his body and tugged it off. Scars trailed up and down all over his back. Daryl froze when he felt a hand on his back. Rebecca's hand softly traced over the scars before moving down his arm, grasping his hand. She turned him around, raising her right hand to his face, pushing his hair out of the way. She stood on her tip toes and gave him a loving kiss.

She pulled away momentarily, gazing up at him. "I want you. Your flaws, Your mistakes. Your imperfections. I want you, and only you."

Daryl leans down and kisses her. Rebecca let out a giggle as he picked her up, bringing her back over to their shared bed. He lays her down and hovers over her as the two resumed on, getting lost under the covers.

Rebecca's cheeks reddened as she sat up. She peered over the bed and saw clothes scattered across the floor. Daryl let out a grunt as he buried his face deeper into the pillow. Rebecca leaned down, pressing a kiss onto his forehead before climbing out of bed. She quickly got dressed and snuck out of the cell to help Carol serve breakfast.

"Morning, Rebecca!"

"Good morning, Rebecca!"

A wave of hellos was sent Rebecca's way by the residents of the prison. She and Daryl had become rather popular around the place. Not only that but the pair had also been named the 'it couple' by the younger crowd which confused the hell out of Daryl while Rebecca simply laughed when Carl told them.

"What the hell is an 'it couple'?" Daryl grumbled watching Carl walk away. Rebecca placed her hand onto his vest, straightening it out. "It just means that not only are we a super cool couple..." Daryl peered down at her and snorted at the word "super cool". Rebecca mocked a gasp as she lightly hit his chest, making Daryl chuckle. "We're also hot."
